SUMMER DRINKS (ESPECIALLY DRIVE THROUGHS)

I've been drinking lots of water and sometimes flavour it with lemon or lime, Crystal Light (seldom), and sometimes will have a Nestea Zero. I'm trying to stay away from artificial sweeteners and obviously don't do sugar nor carbonated beverages. When I go through McDonalds or Tim Hortons, I'd like to get a plain ice coffee, but it shows the calories of being about 120 for a small and I don't want to drink my calories (I know the odd time won't make much of a difference; I just choose not to).

What are you drinking? Are you aware of any other nutritional information concerning summer drinks offered?

Thanks.

Timmies iced coffees will typically have a "base" which will include sugar and cream. Whenever I order mine, I tell them no base please!! I still get them to use cream which still adds calories, but you could always get them to do it with milk to reduce those.

Years ago I would have your typical double double, or ice caps but I've cut sugars out completely from my drinks for the last 5 years, and found the only way to get that with their cold options is to insist no base be used. It's literally just coffee, ice and cream at that point.

I also get the iced coffee from tim hortons... with no base... but I drink it black... it's not bad... bascially a tim hortons coffee black... cold instead of hot... no calories.. :) really helps when I want something cold and not have to worry about the calories... You can also get this in decafe...

I really enjoy the iced passion tango tea from starbucks - unsweetened and no lemonade. There isn't any calories at that point. It's also super refreshing!

I've had the odd iced coffee from tims this summer and have put my limit on it and I'm stopping completely after this week. I don't want to drink my calories anymore other than my protein shakes!

Since we cannot use a straw I have not bothered with the fancy cold drinks but I will order a skinny latte from Starbucks as a treat. 139 cal. No fat. No sugar.

Decaf iced americano from Starbucks. The only calories come from the cream/sweetener I add, so usually a tablespoon of cream, and a packet of Splenda!
