First, I want to apologize for being MIA! I havent ditched y'all, I have been busy. :) I am doing pretty good, and getting ready to start pureed foods next week. I am super excited because I am soooo over the full liquids right now. I am officially down 42 pounds, which is amazing and makes me super happy, though I have hit my first stall. Not worrying too much about it, just keeping up on drinking. I have noticed this week I have next to no energy though. Not sure if thats just normal or if I am coming down with something, lol...possibly both?

In any case, congrats to those who had surgery since I have been gone, and hello to new people who have joined. I will make an effort to pop in more often now that things are getting back to normal.

Pacific Bone Broth is organic - 45 calories and 12 protein add an egg voila its 19 .. .. it may help in puree stage.

Pureed foods was like heaven to me! Best news when my nutritionist told me to move onto pureed foods. 42lbs That's wonderful! Congrats!! Amazing. I had moments I had tons of energy and other times I was worn out and tired all the time. Just your body adjusting to the new you! It will even out soon

I am starting day 1 of the liquids - already not doing it right. I had terrible pain after my first protein shake - am I supposed to separate my liquids (ie water) from my liquids? I will try lunch now - but didn't officially have breakfast - just the shake. I had my surgery on Tuesday and have been doing pretty well.

TOGETHER we can be BETTER

Best, MJ

Try sipping the shakes very slowly. I used a medicine cup from the hospital and took me 15-20 minutes to drink one tiny cup. It took me 4-6 hours to get through one protein shake at first. I drank two a day, plus water. It was constant sipping, all day long, never more than 1 sip at a time, then rest, then 1 sip, then rest, etc. It does get easier.

I had the same issue! I couldnt get the vanilla Premier shakes in without pain... but no issue with the chocolate (or the caramel that my mom was nice to bring up with her from the States, lol). Maybe try a new flavor? I also found that I had to go slow. Like get either those 3 oz bathroom cups or the 2 oz ones people make jello shots in and sip it slowly. It will get better!

try your liquids warm. I could not tolerate cold or even room temperature in the first couple of weeks. I ate a lot of soup warmed up with a little protein powder mixed in.
