Surgery Date!!

So I was complaining the other week about how frustrated I was with how long things were taking. Initially I was told late summer was going to be the surgery timeline. Being told that Dr. Starr was booking for December was crushing, as my boss is due end of Nov and going on maternity leave. I work in a very small office (3 of us including the boss!!!) and was going to have to postpone my surgery until she returned.

I hiked my panicked panties up and called the clinic manager at HRRH leaving a somewhat desperate message about needing something earlier, and if there were any other possible surgeons available. I received great news only a few hours later! They were passing my info onto Dr. Huynh's office as he had appointments for late Sept, early Oct. (YIPPIE!!!!)

Got a call later that day for an Oct 6th appointment. I was a little concerned as my sister is getting married Oct 13th, and I'm in the wedding party. It's 2 hours away. Would I be ok to go? Could I handle the wedding activity that soon post-op? Or would I just feel like total crap the whole time.

THEN! I get another call the following Monday, there was a cancellation, and they have a Sept 15th opening. Did I want it? HELL YES!!!! I don't think I've ever said yes so fast in my life (ok I'm married, I probably did say "Yes" before he even finished asking ;) )

I am over the moon excited. Surgery Date Sept 15 2017. Optifast begins... NOW! :D
