So I have a brief moment in the mornings when the swelling is not so bad and I get a glimpse of the abs and things look great (From the front). but OMG the Kengina is still unreal at 12 weeks. I had an embarrassing moment at work last week when a colleague asked me what the lump on my belly was. it was not my belly, it was my Kengina! She knows about my surgery so I just told her, but how embarrassing. I was living under the fantasy that I was the only one who noticed. Please tell me this is going to get better soon. A year is a long time to have a package in my pants.

Front profile...looking good, side...looking happy to see you

Oh Travelher, I LOVE your sense of humor! And I understand as more than most that with many parts of plastics you have to laugh or you'd just cry in the corner.

Thanks for sharing your update. I certainly agree that the first look in the mirror is pretty good but by the end of the day, I feel pretty discouraged.

So, just to clarify - it wasn't that size prior to surgery? Like, it's not just that your pubic mound is now larger than your belly with the skin removed? I'm a small person now but my pubic mound will never be dainty, lol. I did not have an increase in swelling in that area and the doctor did lift it as part of my LBL, of course.

the grey shirt photo is before plastics...so no, not an issue. i didn't have any hanging skin and already had a pretty flat tummy.

I'm so sorry this has happened to you but at least I know I'M NOT ALONE! OMG!!! I'm six weeks post-op and I look like I had gender reassignment and the whole thing is sideways! My surgeon said that most of it swelling (which makes sense) and that as soon as the internal sutures dissolve, it will lay straight again. He told me to massage it... Uhg.

This is one instance that I'm glad I don't have a significant other. I'd be mortified. .... and it hurts!

I have one other issue too and he is going to have to do a revision so he said that he will fix this if it's not better when I have the revision (some time before the end of the year).
