Gaining weight
I am three weeks post op tomorrow and it seems that I have put on 2lbs....Could this ******ror with my scale, perhaps it needs a battery change? I only eat 300-400 calories a day. I'm still trying to find the sweet spot with my protein but I know this takes time. I know being stalled is normal but is a gain?
Come-on ladies, let's think about this. Is there anyway possible in the scientific world to gain weight eating 300-400 calories a day? You know of course the answer is NO!
So what you are experiencing is weight fluctuation that could be based on so many things: you may need to have good bowel movement, maybe you ate a bit more salty foods yesterday, maybe the humidity was really high recently, are you ovulating or menstruating now or soon, do you feel a bit bloated, did you eat pickles? All of these things can cause temporary weight fluctuations, but not permanent weight gain. In order to gain a pound of weight (fat), you have to eat 3,500 calories above what your body requires. You haven't done that have you?
Of course not, so take a deep breath, know that stuff like this will happen. Don't let a number on the scale affect your worth, your mood, your mojo. Understand that it's the weight loss TREND that's important, not the snapshot of a specific number on the scale at one moment in time.
Keep on keepin' on. You are in for a hellova ride, enjoy it!
