Can't hurt! I used biotin and thought it helped with hair loss started about 6 months post-surgery.  Also important to get enough protein in your diet.

There is no evidence that biotin will do anything to prevent hair loss. There is also only anecdotal evidence that it speeds up hair regrowth. With large doses, however, it can cause growth of excess facial hair in some people, which is permanent, so you won't want to take massive doses.

If your hair loss is from anything other than a vitamin deficiency, it isn't likely to help at all, but it cannot hurt to take a small dose daily.

I started about 2 months prior to my surgery to avoid losing my hair. I just restarted it about a month post surgery.  If I get more facial hair I just plan on using my facial hair remover more often!

Hmmm. On the one hand, you lose some hair on your head for a few months, which most other people will never notice, and which then grows back. On the other hand, you have nice, thick arm and facial hair, forever.

Seems like an easy choice to me.

I tried Biotin before surgery and after with no improvement.  However. I do now use the shampoo and conditioner and like it.

I do have some fun hats and I made bandannas that cover my "bald spot" and they are actually flattering.  I keep my hair tinted to get rid if the gray and that makes me feel better also.

Another benefit is no hair on arms and legs.

I tried chewable biotins ( there are great peach-tasting gummies ) and ate the whole bottle a few weeks ago... next thing you know my hair grew AN INCH !!!  in two months- seriously  and my armpits and lower legs were WAY fuzzier too lol.  Definitely works is all I can say   .  I'm taking more now hoping to grow my hair down to my waist .  It also helped my nails get stronger.

I was told to make sure we are getting all of our vitamins in, getting all of the protein in daily and biotin should help too. Your Hairdresser can also give u protein treatments and if all fails a partial weave may be something to look into.
