Good morning all

I'm feeling pretty rough this morning though not as bad as last night. One of my incisions started looking pretty red and annoyed and I developed a fever. We followed the instructions they gave us when I was discharged, called up the bariatric fellow who was on call and talked to him. I love technology....we were able to send him a picture of the incision so he could see what we were talking about along with a comparison picture from the previous day. Anyways, long story short I'm on antibiotics for the next 7 days. I'm annoyed about it because I've been following the instructions to the letter and I still ended up with problems

QOTD: I am totally a morning person - if I sleep past 8 I feel like I've wasted the day. Definitely sometimes a curse, like when I stay up way past my normal bedtime. I've always been jealous of my hubby's ability to just fall right back asleep no matter what time it is. Once I'm awake that's it...there's no going back.

Menu:

B: Coffee, Protein Shake

S: Cottage Cheese w/peaches

L: TBD

S: TBD

D: TBD

Have a great day guys, enjoy the remainder of this weekend!

One of my incisions began oozing puss shortly after my surgery. I was put on an antibiotic too. My doc was so aplologetic about it- I thought that was odd. It happens.

Good Morning!!

Just snow flurries today--Welcome to Spring tomorrow!!!!!

QOTD: I was always an early riser. I had a terrible time as a young nurse when I had to work nites--I was a zombie, getting very little sleep. Now being retired/disabled I wake early with Jim and stay up late, unless Lyme is flaring--then I sleep all the time. :(

Wow! Hey neighbor, lol! It is a small world! I see you just had your surgery in January with Dr. Hill. He is wonderful! Best of luck on your journey and I am looking forward to seeing your success. How much snow did you all get from the blizzard? We got 4 1/2 feet.

I'm actually flying home from GA today and haven't seen it yet, but my husband said at least 2 feet, but he wasn't sure beyond that (he was a bit disgruntled about it all).

I love(the idea of) being a morning person...because I feel so much more accomplished...but I am well known for the 'second wind' late at night and will be cleaning and mopping my kitchen floor at midnight 1AM or later....I try to get up at 7:30AM no matter what time I went to bed...trying to force myself into a better routine. I definitely go through cycles....

Just got back from a 3 day Women's retreat with my Church. Which is wonderful, but the food kills me. I brought some food, but they have these family style meals and very not WLS friendly. Then during sessions their are big bowls of chocolates and hard candies in the back of the room.... The first breakfast they did leave a bowl of bacon sitting in front of me..... I think I may have eaten 10 pieces... I have a mental talk with myself and trying not to rfret the scale, as I am in the #ohcrap zone but I can see my legs are swollen and retaining water.... SO lots of fluids today.

B: Coffee with Fairlife and Miralax, Protein Drink TBD

S: premier protein

L: scrambled eggs with cheese, bacon bits

S: Protein hot chocolate

D: Pork carnitas w/sour cream and shredded cheese

S: Protein drink, TBD, Chocolate chai latte

Trying to stay high protein and high liquid. Keeping the food simple always works for me when I need to pull back.

EX; 21 day fix, maybe later in AM if it warms up a little I will try and run outside....

Someone from OH had posted this on FB, but since you said Meal prepping thought this was cute:

Good morning menu Friends. We made it back home about 7 last night from our 2 days away. Hubby was slightly bummed as we got up there to find that the shoot was Sunday instead of Saturday and we needed to come home so I could play piano. So he pulled out the map and went to Dickson Mounds state site instead. It is an area where Indian villages and burial mounds have been uncovered and has a wonderful museum. And,unbeknownst to us an Indian group was having a pow wow there. People were selling crafts, they were drumming and dancing and hubby got some fry bread. It was yummy--I confess I had two bites. I bought an alpaca sweater with an Indian design on it and boy is it warm and so so soft. So even though there was no shooting of guns but we still had a great time. And we learned to double check emails for accuracy. The email said Saturday March 19 with the 19th actually being Sunday. Lily and I have our 3.2 miles in already today. Post op 4 years 6.5 months and weight at 117.2 today. Here's the food plan for maintenance B 1/2 c steel cut oats with protein and peanut butter added L 31/2 oz deli chicken and cheese with guacamole D 31/2 oz strip steak 1/2 c Tuscan blend veggies S Quest chocolate chip cookie protein bar. Have a great day everyone and make some conscious choices that move you one step closer to your goal!
