Good Morning and happy Friday-eve. Thinking of Daisy today as she has her GB surgery. A two day work week and today will mostly be spent on catching up on emails and following up on things I misses the last three days.

QOTD: Mostly A's and B's and maybe about 3-5 C's through-out school. Em was merit/honor roll all through elementary but has had a few C's not in middle/junior high.

Accountability: Not sure why, but I had an evening that I felt hungry and ate until it was time to go to bed. I hope today is better-I have my 1/2 marathon Sunday and want to feel ready.

Time since surgery: 3 years 2 months

B: SF latte, eggbeaters with roasted red pepper, ½ an orange and 2 turkey sausage links

L: Albacore lettuce wraps and baby carrots

S: Salami, Carbmaster yogurt, mixed nuts and a SF popsicle when I get home

D: BBQ chicken "pizza" and a small piece of low carb German chocolate cake made with zucchini

ES: Homemade Greek yogurt with SF jam and ¼ cup fiber cereal

E: 6 miles ran this morning and 40 mins of elliptical at lunch

V/W: On track

Totals: Cals:1251 Protein:119 Carbs:75 Fat:60

Have a great one!

Just want to say that you are all a VERY smart group. Is the average IQ of a WLS patient higher or is it that OH attracts people with above average intelligence? And we are also a group with much better success after WLS as far as I can tell.

Morning everyone!

Job is going at warp speed! Can't keep up and post enough here, but I do read during the day when I need to clear my mind.

QOTD: I was that other student that no one else on here was... not good grades, not good friends, ran around like a wild child and barely made it out of high school. I did go to college but never got my degree. I like to think that I still turned out pretty great though... and I never got arrested

Accountability: I did great with the candy at the office (none at home, no trick or treaters, and the kids hid the bags they got, because yes, my almost 18 and almost 16yo went out trick or treating at the last minute)... I did great UNTIL that very LAST fun-sized KitKat was sitting in the kitchen looking so lonely... POP, in my mouth it went. I did pretty OK through Halloween though and over a weeks time ate 4-5 of the fun sized pieces... funny how last year I wasn't tempted in the least!

Weight this morning 137.0 Maintenance diet, almost 18 months out

B: 4 ounces of crack slaw/egg roll in a bowl - with extra siracha! Ym!

S: Cheese stick if I need it

L: Going to Big Truck Tacos... I'll eat the insides of probably two tacos, they're small

S: Pepperoni/cheese if I need it

D: Chicken legs on the grill for tonight, and either cauliflower or green beans depending on which I fix

S: Latte Love - and probably too much whipped cream (since I have a can in there, who am I kidding?)

You didn't need extra schooling because you have the smarts and personality!

My DH (who was a lawyer) used to say that the really smart people do not need college at all, some people need a little more help and go to college, and the ones really in need of help have to go to graduate school. We have a friend who started a car dealership and became a millionaire on a high school degree and another who owns a really company who didn't finish college.

Happy Thursday everyone~ Glad we are on our way outta this week. It's been another very busy one. Looking forward to the time change this weekend, I prefer it lighter in the morning. So bummed about the Dodgers loss last night. I'm going to see my dad this afternoon, hopefully it's a good visit.

QOTD - I breezed through school. A's and B's with little effort honestly. My son struggled terribly. I cannot tell you how many nights ended in tears (mostly mine). Fortunately, he is doing very well now.

Accountability - totally on plan

11 mo post op - 170.3 ran out of miralax the other day and missed 2 mornings - never, ever again

B-coffee w/hc, SB iced coffee w/hh, beef jerky

l-chicken thigh meat w/ melted cheese

d-eggs and bacon

v/l - on track

Have a great day all!

Good morning!

Qotd: I was mostly an A student through high school, but it was natural, I never studied for it. It got me into trouble in college though and I had to work so much harder to develop better study habits and struggled my freshman year. I had to retake math classes because I failed out. I ended up with my BA with a 3.5 gpa

Confession/accountability: I've really been falling off the wagon lately. A lot has to do with it being hectic at work and I'm putting in a lot of overtime and people keep rewarding us for our work with food and it's not salad they're ordering in for us when we stay late. So I've been sneaking in donuts and pizza. I find it so hard to turn down free office goodies, especially when that hot pizza scent is wafting by my desk. Also because of the overtime/long hours I haven't been feeling up to getting to the gym. I've gained 2 lbs over the last week and a half or so, and desperately don't want to show gain at my next monthly weigh-in evaluation. I've resolved to white-knuckle through the cravings this has awakened, drink a ton of water, and just buckle down for a while. I'm not under a directive to lose weight pre-op (that's my own goal not the surgeon's) but I absolutely do not want gain.

breakfast: 2 scrambled eggs with cheese

lunch: 1C lasagna with zoodles (turkey Italian sausage, ricotta, marinara, zoodles, mozzarella)

Good morning everyone!

Trying to get back on track after a few days of not counting everything. I know it's not Friday, but my surgeon's office sent me these before and after pictures from my 1 year visit. Although I hate before pictures, it's a nice reminder of how far I've come.

QOTD: I got pretty good grades in HS and college but didn't really apply myself until grad school.

Menu:

B: ice coffee with fairlife milk, one mini caramel truffle (60 cal and 3 grams carbs)--somehow that ended up in my mouth before I left for work :)

L: ham, cheese, and grape tomatoes

S: chicken sausage

D: tuna?
