Hey Pouch Pals! How are you all? I pulled a muscle in my back and its giving me twinges, very uncomfortable and its times like this that man oh man do I miss Advil! Tylenol sucks for back pain. I am leaving work early today as I have an appt with my PCP, will be asking her for some Tramadol or something. Meeting my parents for lunch at Panera bread so I have inputted a half salad for lunch from there.

Accountability: Somehow a Caramel & sea salt dark chocolate Lindt chocolate bar found its way into my mouth. Bad Daisy. UGH my willpower is totally out the door right now. I am putting myself on modified AMAW starting Monday (I need my vanilla premier protein in my coffee) otherwise it will be meat, meat, meat! I have to get the carbs out of my system. Its my own fault and I only have myself to blame so I am doing my own AMAW.

QOTD: Would you swim with Sharks or Stingrays? Or maybe you already have? If yes tell us about it. I would love to swim with Sharks, I am fascinated by them and think that would be so cool. I have swum with Stingrays, hubby and I did it somewhere in the Caribbean (I can't remember exactly where, Bahamas maybe) but it was LITERALLY the day after that famous guy Steve Irwin was killed by a Stingray and I was freaked the hell out. The pictures are a riot as the terror on my face is so obvious. It was fine, they are super tame as this is one of the Cruise ship's regular stops and the Stingrays are expecting food but nevertheless I was scared. Looking back it was super cool and I would do it again.

Good morning everyone. Sorry you are in pain, Daisy. I hope you get the meds you need. I am a little sore, myself today. I have gotten back to the treadmill this week and it is kicking my butt (literally). I am feeling so happy that my achilles is not even giving me a twinge, though, so it feels like I can really get back to running for real again. Half marathon, here I come!

Accountability: I ended up having a morning meeting at Dunkin Donuts, so I grabbed an Egg & Cheese Wake Up Wrap. I ate the egg and cheese part and didn't have the flour wrap. I think it was a good choice--there are only 150 calories with the wrap, so not bad. Also--I have been eating chili x2 a day since Sunday and I needed a break, so John made me a ribeye last night :) I ended the day with pretty perfect stats, totally by accident.

QOTD: I have gone snorkeling a few times and really enjoyed it. I remember holding a Puffer Fish in my hands--it was amazing! And I canoed with Dolphins in Pamlico Bay in North Carolina a few years ago, too. But sharks and stingrays? I think I am probably too chicken.

I hope this is okay to ask as it is a little off topic but I saw your post the other day related to products with the Basil and Garlic meatballs...I stopped in at a Costco the other day and they didn't have them. Wondered if you've ever gotten them anywhere else?

I floated over some manatees. Big potatoes. I'm glad I got to do it.

And in response to yesterday's question..Im still up. I try to go to sleep before the sun comes up. Hard to do in a Seattle summer.

I've been hungry but too tired to cook so it's been yogurt, quest bar, and meat with mustard. Also a boat of coffee.

I love Manatees, there is a place near my folks in Florida where we go to see them in the wild and I get so excited seeing them. They are so big, gentle creatures...

I would love to see a manatee!! Dolphins too- I've been on several cruises but so far I haven't seen a dolphin in the wild.

Good Morning everyone!

Sorry for your pain Daisy..hope you get some relief.

Winter storm heading our way which is pretty much a norm here, lol. Ooooo it is going to snow...so what else is new, lol, but I digress.

Accountability: instead of the fajita beef w/ cheese last night, I tried to eat a cheeseburger that I made from extra lean Hamburg (96/4). I had almost half (2 oz) and got very ill so not ever trying that again. So many things my pouch won't tolerate and not sure why with some things like haddock...get really ill with that too.

qotd: I can barely doggie paddle in our swimming pool, let alone swim with any sea creatures, lol. Gonna pass.

Menu:

B: scrambled egg w/ Turkey sausage

L: tbd but protein

D: trying a new recipe... Honey-sesame chicken in my crock pot. My DH will have rice with his...just chicken for me.

S: Oikos Triple zero yogurt maybe

I've gone back to regular grind burger that I drain instead of extra lean and chicken thighs instead of breast meat.. I know it goes against what we learned in Weigh****chers but with the small amount of food we eat the tiny extra bit of fat is needed to make the food tolerated. If I have to eat dry meat I have to add sauce of some kind or I won't be able to eat more than a bite or two. I'm 51/2 years out and suspect this will always be the case.

I also find that regular grind is far better than lean- only a year out but yes, probably will be that way for the rest of my life. :) :)

When I first tried ground beef, I did the 94% lean beef and lean ground turkey/chicken and it was too dry. I like the 85% or even 80% instead. It has more flavor and seems to settle better. Just balance the fats and it is okay to eat it in moderation.
