Hope your consult goes well and you learn alot. In my experience don't be tempted to do too many areas at once. It is tempting to get it done as fast as you can, but the recovery seems easier with less stress on the body. Just my early experience!

actually, I was surprised the first two surgeons - plus the one I'm seeing tomorrow (I talked a long time on the phone with his nurse) will only do the LBL the first time around. Well, if that's one of the procedures I want, that is (and I do). They all said they don't like doing surgeries more than 5-6 hours long, and that one is pretty close. I'll have to go back a second time for the other things I want (they all said they can do BL and arm lift in the same surgery). The surgeon I'm slated to see in June will do LBL along with BL, or he has with other patients. Not sure if he has an assistant or if he just doesn't mind doing longer surgeries.

from what I can tell, the one tomorrow is pretty old school. He'll only do them in a hospital, and you need to stay at least one overnight. And his limit is six hours in surgery. All of that is fine by me. Adds to the overall cost, but I think I'm OK with that.

Morning all... quiet day so far. Drinking coffee, watching the news, and just chilling a little bit before I get going on an afternoon of work work. Yesterday I never did get to any of my work work I decided to go to see my nieces earlier than planned and it was nice to just play and watch TV with them while their parents had a date night.

QOTD: We have cable, Netflix and Amazon Prime. We mainly got Netflix when my daughter went off to college so she could watch movies and such.

Food for the day:

B: eggs w/ cheese

L: grilled chicken

D: pulled pork

Hope everyone has a great day!

Good morning everyone! Today is supposed to be cool but sunny. This morning we are going to the Mission, out to breakfast and then some window shopping downtown. We may catch the movie Book Club after if I can talk Rob into it - he doesn't want to go, shocker!!

QOTD - We have dish w/HBO and Netflix. If there is something I can't get with those, I will borrow it from the library.

Accountability- I had some peanuts I didn't plan for. I recently bought a big bag of peanuts in the shell. I won't buy them again, they are so good and addicting - evil!

I know your surgeon wants you to eat more dense protein and calories, but your menu looks spot on! How many fluids are you getting. I found that I did better well over 100 oz. Sounds like a lot but work up to it.

I understand that it is tough but it really helps with the hydration and consistent loss. Keep adding small bits each day.

Busy day yesterday, I ended up helping my cousin get his container garden planted, which took a couple hours. Then DH and I went thrifting and I found a few cute tops at a thrift store and DH found some jeans in a 42 waist...a year ago he was wearing a 60. His one year surgiversary was Friday, and as a gift to him we went to a good bicycle store and bought him a bicycle. We thought about buying one for me too, but I honestly don't think I'd ride very often, at least this year (and I didn't want to spend all the money at once to buy two). So we agreed I'd get one for MY one year surgiversary instead :) we finished the day by going to see Deadpool.

today we will be going to the zoo. My FIL had free tickets from his employer. They plan on joining us though I worry his FIL won't be up to all the walking. He has two replaced knees as is MO, and can't even handle walking the farmers market with us which is only a couple city blocks. The Omaha zoo is one of the largest zoos in the country I believe. We'll see how it goes!

qotd: we have internet streaming through our PS4, which we also play physical Blu-ray and DVDs on. We watch Netflix, Hulu, HBO, and Amazon Prime. DH wants to look into YouTube TV.

breakfast: Premier and coffee, then eggs and bacon

lunch is likely whatever decent thing we find at the zoo and dinner is up in the air pending whether or not we go out with his parents or they give up on the zoo and head home early.
