Can I ask how you ate 1200 or so calories a day? Did you eat every couple hours? My surgeon wants me to eat 3 meals a day NO snacking in between and only get 600-800 calories a day. My weight loss is ALL since surgery but I don't feel like I'm losing as fast as I could be. I am also not exercising at all (except walking some) for fear that if I burn any calories my body will go into starvation mode. Any advice for a young'n??

We're not allowed to snack on my program - I'll admit to eating a few almonds now and again, but not often.

I have breakfast about 9 (242 cal. from an Unjury protein shake in 8 oz. 1% milk - same, breakfast every day - I want it to be a no-brainer in the a.m. - just get the nutrition/protein. No food decisions.)  If I'm travelling, I'll make adjustments.

Lunch around 1 and Dinner around 5/6 range from chicken (salad, roasted, whatever) shrimp, pork-loin, chili, stew, etc., ususally w/ fruit or cheese or veggies or a combination - totalling somewhere in 300-400 cal range ea.

Late mini-meal about 9 is 94% FF popcorn, or SF pudding cup, maybe LF cheese stick, or some almonds, even an occassional Skinny Cow or Edy's Yogurt blend (1/2 cp.).  It's usually around 200 cal.

Remember I was a BIG 400+ guy when I started and I'm 6'1" tall - my protein rec. is still close to 100g per day - I would expect smaller folks to make adjustments.

Pix?  - A pre-op pix and a pix of wifey and I (@100 lbs. down) are on my profile page.  Hope to post another in about about 10 days - after I hit the beach in my thong Speedo (yeah, right) in ***** Cana next week.  See Ya.

I also think trying to go super low calorie, no carb is not good in the long run; I prefer keeping my hair and my energy. And so far, I haven't had a 'stall' in weight loss. I don't burn as many workout calories as you do, but try to burn 350 at least every other day, and do lots of walking, etc on the other days. I may not be losing quite as fast as some other people; that's fine with me, I'm happy with my progress and want to keep it up.
Congratulations on your loss!
