losing TOO quickly? 11 months out

so my weight loss really had slowed down quite a bit for the past several months- could be 2 pounds loss 1 month and 4 pound loss the next.  well, the past 2 weeks i've lost 4 pounds.

huh?!!!!!

is this something i should be concerned about?  i don't really track calories, just eat at scheduled times and usually eat the same things.  i have been exercising (running) for the past 6 months so nothing new has changed.  i'm down to 166 and BMI-wise still have 30 pounds to lose but am hoping to get down to 145 at my maintenance level.

any advice from vets?

Thanks!

Probably gonna have to tighten up......

Most have to really work for the last weight.....

Got to get a little more formal about it....... Really dial it in......

Gonna need to know whats up for maintenance.......

Yep... I agree with Frisco 100%. Time to tighten up and keep a closer eye on what you're eating.

BTW, your title mentions losing too quickly. IMHO, 4 pounds in two weeks is not necessarily too quickly. I know you're at a lower weight now, so that might be more than the figure I was always taught was healthy (before I even considered surgery) of about 1% a week, but that doesn't factor in other variables, like water weight, bowel habits, and other issues... maybe your body just decided it was time to drop down a few pounds.

As long as you're staying on plan and getting in your water and exercise, I wouldn't be too concerned about there being a problem with losing too much in one week here or there. In fact, you may find that you lose more each week for a few weeks by tightening up... as long as you're not sick and not starving yourself, you're probably just fine.

Track like others said. I was a stair step loser so I would lose 5-7 pounds one week every month. The following week I would lose 2 pounds and the rest of the month nothing. I also did not struggle to get to goal. It seems like things slowed around month 7 and picked back up. No rhyme or reason but there was some stressful stuff going on and I think it made me eat less.

My 1 yr is a couple of weeks after yours and I understand what you are worried about.

The last 20-ish pounds are trying to kick my butt.

I saw my PCP and asked him what I could do. Told him everything I was already doing.

He said that I needed more cardio. I need to add in a couple miles of walking or 20-30 on the eliptical to my normal exercise. He also said watch out for the carb creep.

I was stalled out and protein bars had found their way back into my life via my summer road trip vacation with my parents and kids all in the same vehicle for 2 weeks. Stress. But fun stress.

I decarbed with the 5-day pouch test which I don't suggest for everyone. but, for me it did help reset my carbs and the protein bars are now gone, gone.

Frisco is very right, as per the usual, you have to hunker down and fight hard for the last few pounds.
