What blender should I buy?

I need to buy a blender. What is a good one for possibly daily use and making awesome juices and stuff? I hear a lot about the Vitamix, but that is quite some price tag! Is it worth it? What does everyone else have?

I would love to have a Vitamix!! I have a lt of friends that have them and love them, but that was out of our price range right now! We bought a Nutribullet last week and so far so good. I have a few friends that have them as well. Hubby and I make 4 protein shakes a day between the two of us and it crushes ice pretty well too.

I bought a Ninja at Bed Bath and Beyond before I started this journey. It's a pain to clean. I bought some little shaker cups at GNC for my protein shakes because I didn't want to clean the blender 4 times a day during my pre-op. I was also able to work around having to puree things so I really didn't use the blender all that much. It's a great blender and will do just about anything.

I have a Vitamix and love it.  I've never found anything else that blends ice as smooth as it does.  Want to throw in some spinach to your shake?  It will pulverize it and you won't have any little bits.  Maybe you can find one on Craigslist that's in your price range.

If you can find one you can afford I would go with the Vitamix! The price is a hard pill to swallow but it is extremely worth it if you actually take advantage of its capabilities!

Vitamix!  Love it - -BUT, I got mine refurbished on vitamix.com, so it was less expensive, and still has a seven year warranty.  Also, Bed Bath and Beyond carry them, and apparently you can use their 20% off coupons on a Vitamix (a friend of mine did that), so that's a good chunk of change.

If you have the $$ and want to make sure this things lasts FOREVER, if you buy it at Williams Sonoma, they extend the guarentee for life (yours, that is).

Overall, the Vitamix is pretty amazing.  And it has the added "bonus" of serving as an alarm clock to anyone who might be sleeping within a three block radius!  OK, maybe that is a slight exaggeration, but it's pretty loud, especially on a granite countertop!

Buying the Vitamix hurt my pocket book BIG TIME, it was painfully expensive.  Now that I've had it for over a year, it's the best buy I've ever made.  It's the Rolls Royce of blenders.

I have a magic bullet, but we use frozen fruit and ice cubes a lot and I find the blades get dull quick.
