Good Morning !!

I had to have Amazon replace my Tushi fitness tracker, because the display screen didn't work. I expect the new one today. (My car and the Tushi are finally playing nice and both talking to my phone !)  Last week, I also ordered an adjustable stand for my laptop so that I can stand at my desk and work rather than sitting all of the time. (Some days, I feel tied to my desk !)  It arrived today, but I haven't used it yet.

Weight up .2 to 139.  Lots of exercise yesterday, and time for a cup of Smooth Moves tea.  Feeling some pressure.

Eager to hear from everyone !!!

A few of my co-workers have the adjustable computer stands so they can either stand or sit. I mostly stand in our gym while working with the patients.

Hi all, a quick pop in.

Kairk, my OH post yesterday on ketosis was shortened. I'll post a few sentences later.  You are going to do fine!

125.1 this morning.  I have been at or close to 1200cal/day for a handful of days now.

Did a 6am yoga class and looking forward to having time with family this evening.

Enjoy the day!

Scale remains at 114. Need to get my fluids up today!

Still feeling very sleepy so will try taking the meds at night and see if that helps. Approaching two weeks on them so hoping to begin to see mood improvement soon.

This is the week my running clinic starts and I still haven't signed up. I don't want to but will push myself because I know I'll feel better mentally if I start running again.

Kairk I was always in ketosis at 30-40 grams of carbs but I suspect it's faster to get there at the Atkins recommended 20 grams.

Weight basically the same as yesterday - up a smidgeon, but insignificant.

Both Ron and I had a bit of a planned off plan day *** going to admit it was sort of binge like...but not really, if that makes sense.) We got rid of a few things in the fridge that were high carb and we went to the January b'day get together for his family (Ron being one of the January b'days). I wasn't terribly hungry while there until it came time for a little cake and ice cream and did have some of that, but a modest portion given that I had eaten that Black Forest Cake the day before.

Prepped food last night for the day. Breakfast, morning snack(which I'm thinking now will be afternoon snack, as I have not yet had my breakfast shake) and lunch added up to 87 grams of protein and, get this, 14 carbs (9 net carbs). Hope I don't have detox issues.

Ron is feeling very confident since he had no trouble with the sugar detox. I didn't have the heart to tell him that all the refined carbs he was eating made the sugar detox easy because he wasn't really detoxing from sugar, but one step at a time, right?! He got on the scale for the first time in probably 2 years last night. He was dumb struck. He has gained maybe 3 pounds, but has gained over 4 inches on his waist. He's gone skinny-fat. He was very upset with himself. It was interesting to observe how a lifetime thin person dealt with being only 10-20 pounds overweight, but significantly out of shape. To me, 10-20 pounds seems like nothing. To him it is earth shatteringly daunting. He thinks it will take him about a year to lose 10 pounds. Gotta smile at that one.

Good week to all.

Hi Kairk, I didn't realize that Ron was going ketosis with you!  I would never be able to get my husband to participate in any diet of mine.  Pretty scary about his mostly stable weight but increased waist and (from your previous posts) general decline in fitness.  Aging happens --- just shows how we all need to work on ourselves.

My carbs were

Summary: I go back into trace ketosis after even one day of 35-40 carbs.  Geez, OH!

Kairk, funny about Ron but I feel his pain. He will learn from you.

Well dogs get one more shot at the love thing today then the girl goes home.  It will be nice not to manage who is where all the time. The rain is supposed to let up for a few days.  No excuses not to walk.  diane s
