Good Morning Fabulous Friends !

121.2  MFP registers 150 pounds lost! That thrills part of me, and my new low scares another part of me. Still working to stop this train in a way that will be easy to pull back from when I get my weight stabilized 129-134. I'm doing the full fats and nuts, usually fit in a higher calorie snack, and am still limiting sugar and carbs.

Yesterday,  I got a bit involved in pruning back some vines coming over the fence from my neighbor's yard. Carbon, I believe it is you who cleans for the cleaning lady... we'll I was doing yard work for the lawn guy. Plan to get on a ladder with hedge trimmer today. (Yes, I know I'm on blood thinners and I'll be careful ! ?

I have a nut mix and yogurt diet that will slow down the weight loss if you want it. LOL  I don't do yard work very often and when I prune it is hard for me to find a good stopping place.  I may have to search youtube on how to fix my mower because it quit on me and I need to mow the grass.

Eating was good. Cravings were good.  Doing anything on the airstream was bad.  Went to a friend's house that is into making jewelry.  Made my first piece.  He had to tell me every step and showed me how to do certain steps. But it turned out well. below is a pic.

Amethyst. The stone was in the rough and the silver was in sheets when I started.  Ground it down and polished the stone in about an hour.  The whole thing took about 4 hours.  The hard part was silver soldering the back to the little bezel that the surrounds the stone.  My friend has all the tools to make it.  He also said it should only take an hour to do the whole thing.  I gave it to my girl friend. She is Lodie on the boards. It was a fun experience.  It was a stock rope chain.

Gorgeous necklace!  I've made some jewelry too, but not done the metal work. I love working with stones. There's something 'warm and alive' about them, for sure.

I like that you're being proactive about making the scale move down. It takes effort, but always rewards in time

It's so hard because you work really hard and may or may not be rewarded for it in the short term.  But in the long term, yes, it will reward.

We are an instant gratification culture, I guess.

Morning all

Ocean I wish that I did have a cleaning lady and cleaning before she came would be exactly what I would do.  Our community hosts a garden tour and last year my neighbours were on it.   Talk about pressure!!!!! Had to get our yard in tip top shape of course in case someone glanced our way and all the other neighbours felt the same way.  Our short block was exhausted and relieved by  the time the tour was done.

David!   Your jewellery is quite wonderful!

a good calorie day but still only 6992 steps.  However it was the first day that did not have to 'rest'  before bed time.   And can actually sit for longer then a few minutes, so progress is being made.

Hope those of us who are dealing with painful family matters get a reprieve and the travellers safely to wherever they are going.
