Food Sticking
Oct 07, 2011
OMG......this is the second time I had food stuck in my pouch and it was agony. The first time was a couple of days ago after eating a couple of meatballs were eaten probably too fast and not chewed well enough. I got an instant feeling of impending vomit and had excessive foam/saliva come out. This lasted for about 15-20 minutes. That was barely a preview of what was to come the next time.Today, I hadn't eaten much and was feeling quite hungry while at Walmart picking up groceries. It was about 2:00pm and decided to pick up a roasted chicken breast. Because I was feeling so hungry, I must have eaten it too fast and after about three or four bites, again got the sense of impending vomit and excessive spit. I thought it would be over quickly like the last time but this was not the case. I sat in my car and after about half an hour the foamies stop. I had to pick up the kids to bring one to the Dr after school and it lasted the whole time I was in the clinic. What hell and pain I was in for the next 1.5 hours--in the lab I could barely stand, sit or hold on. When we got back to the car, I had to pull over almost immediately and started to foam and vomit. What relief that brought and I thought it was all over (that was about two hours later). So when I got home, I took a sip of water and went to lay down. If I thought it was bad before, it was worst this time. For two hours, I couldn't lay in my bed, roll over, sit up or anything. This time there was no vomit to relieve the pain. Than suddenly, it must have past through and I was able to get about four hours sleep.
Lesson: chew, chew, chew, chew and slow the hell down. Do NOT want to do that again!
