Still thinking.....reading, processing...

Mar 28, 2010

Spent quite alot of time here, reading archieved materials.  Read many success stories, read the failures too.  Looked at different types of surgery, although when push comes to shove, I will get whatever my HMO --Kaiser is doing.   I did get in to the next informational class -- not until 4/22/2010.

I haven't told any of the family that I'm considering this.  With my brother's death just this December, I know that the thought of me being in the hospital would be too much for anyone to bear at this point.  And with Kaiser's timetable, there is a mandatory 3 months of classes to go through after being accepted into the program, which can't happen until I after the 4/22/10 date.

I have been reading and thinking more about food, and my "relationship with food" -- am going to make a concerted effort to do things with dd that are not food centered, and to try to look at when and what I am eating.

I did three major things this week pro healthy eating. Only one fast food meal -- and it was one of those emergency days transporting a kid for work,.  The positive thing was, that I ordered two hamburger happy meals -- one for him, one for me.  And I fed him half my fries.  Had to pay extra for my bottle of water !  He was delighted with two toys.  Second, was that I brought and ate my yogurt and granola cereal for breakfast every day.  No muffins, no junk. Healthy trail mix from costco (I found one with no peanuts!) for snack.  And number three, was just being aware of what I was eating, when I was eating it. Best news......that I lost a pound this week.  That's a loss of 3 lbs, from the doctor's on 3/16.  289 to 286.

Big eats this week.  Passover holiday.
Very worried about what's going on at work.
Major stress monster at work
