48 hours to surgery!

Weight: 360

This week has been great for weight loss for me.  I'm a volume eater not a junk eater, and even though I'm pre-op I've managed to stay in the 1200-1400 calorie range pretty well this week and for the past few weeks.  I've managed to lose 28 pounds pre-op in 2 months which I did not think I could do at all.

21 of those pounds have been in the last 3.5 weeks when I buckled down and dropped my calories.  I'm getting sleeved in two days here and really excited and nervous.  My BMI now with the pre-op diet is 59.9.. so I'm officially (if barely) out of the 60's for BMI. Exciting!

I've had a few people say that I won't lose my weight and get to a normal size or keep it off with "only" the VSG and really need the DS as well.  I have stayed low carb for many years but always had trouble losing long term because of the enormous amount of calories I can consume even on low carb.

I wish there were someone else out there who was in the same situation with being a volume low carb eater who I could share experiences with.  At least so far now that I have not changed what I eat but the amount only, it seems to be working really well.  I hope it continues to work.  If I fail at least I know I can get the DS later to help me further.
