So I got the oh so important call from Christa a week ago today. When I went to the last information session on December 23 our group was told we wouldn't see the inside of an operating room until the end of February or in to March. Imagine my extreme surprise that I am scheduled to have my surgery on January 31!!! I am over the moon!! All of us in this journey think about getting that call all the time, but gosh when it happens. I swear I'm still in shock, and most likely will be until I'm actually in the operating room. Especially when they warn you from the get go that it could be cancelled due to bed shortage, fingers crossed that doesn't happen. Now the count down game is on!!
