Hi Karen! I just read your profile girl and WOW you have been through the wringer to get this surgery! I know you just cannot believe you are finally about to joing the losing side! CONGRATULATIONS! Your persistance and determination have paid off! I am excited for you. I had surgery 16 monts ago and am 14 lbs below goal and feeling great! It is a little rough after sugery, but quite honestly it didn't hurt anything like my 2 c-sections. (I noticed you had had a section also). The only thing that scared me in the hospital was a sudden attack of nausea in the middle of the first night. I paniced and called for the nurse as I didn't have an basin to use and I was terrified if I threw up I would rip up my little pouch! LOL. The nurse told me to just go ahead and throw up she would get me a basin. And I heaved and heaved... but nothing came up and when she brought the basin she also added some phenergan to my IV and boom, the nausea was gone! I didn't damage my pouch and I didn't need to worry about messing up the covers! But that was THE only scarry time for me! Something you might think to take to the hospital is some of the Listerine squares that melt in your mouth. They were a real life saver to me when I had to NPO for 24 hours because your mouth is SO DRY! I am sure that my DH and the nurse's appreciated it too! LOL I will remember you in prayer on Monday! And as you say, "Jesus take the wheel!" God Bless you, Grace and Peace, Margie
