Bought a bag at the store today, they fit within the nutritional guidelines. At what stage can we have these?

Are we allowed these right after surgery on clear fluids? I don't see it in my book. These popsicles have 1 g sugar.

Just wondering why Opti Fast is prescribed, as opposed to eating a calorie-restricted, high protein, low-carb diet for the 1-3 weeks before surgery? Is there some reason we have to drink our nutrients? Like why can't I have a hard-boiled egg or a piece

I keep seeing conflicting information about whether we can absorb gel capsules post-op. I tend to choke on pills that aren't gel caps, so can we or can't we take them??

I am on a contract, so don't get vacation days or paid sick leave. I will likely only be off for two weeks (cross my fingers!), but am wondering if there's any way to get EI or something for that time?

I am in the pre-op stage and still have several appointments left to go. I just got a new job that starts in April... right around the time that I have an entire day of appointments booked. What do you think I should tell my new employer about why I ne

I was told I need 6000-10000 IU of Vitamin D3, in a dry or chewable formula, as my levels pre-op are low. I read here that this can be found behind the counter at Walmart, but the pharmacist said the highest dosage they have is 1000, and she's never h

Sorry to start a new thread about this, but my old thread isn't updating for some reason. I had my orientation the other week, and we were told that attempts like the cabbage soup diet, slim fast, dieting on your own, etc, do NOT count as formal weight

WLS has been in the back of my mind for a couple of years, and finally decided to get a referral. My orientation is next month. My partner is 100% on board with me, but the family members who I told are not. When I first mentioned it to them, things go

Just out of curiosity, I'm wondering if anyone else is going to this?

Can anyone who had their surgery at Guelph tell me about their experiences, good or bad? I heard the staff are great and that their program is more rigid than other

I was referred to Guelph, and read this on their website: "Patients must have had previous formal weight loss attempt, preferably with doctor/ Registered Dietitian or program."

Although I have attempted to lose weight in the pa

After a couple of years of doing some research on bariatric surgery, I finally asked my GP for a referral. He didn't seemed to know anything about the referral process or the surgery, and referred me to some new general surgeon in another city (Simcoe)
