So I cancelled my follow up.  I have gained more weight due to not smoking & stress eating even though I have been going to the gym.  I was too scared to go to the doctor.  I have got to get this under control before November.

Birthday Weekend

So i survived and didn't gain this weekend while celebrating my birthday.  Mostly due to great planning on my part.  I picked some healthy food choices that included side salads and limited my intake during the day so I could enjoy my desserts a little.  Now if I can just convince hubby to trash the remainder of my cake,lol.  Hoping to keep doing well this week and see some more weight loss.  I do notice my clothes are fitting really differently and I am almost down a size.  Hopefully it will all start coming together really soon.

6 year follow up

So had my 6 year follow up yesterday.  Got in the car afterwards, called my husband and .  17 pound gain since January and an 11 pound gain since the appointment before that, plus another 22 pound gain we didn't talk about.  I am up a total of 49 lbs at this point (was 53).  I have some vitamin levels that are concerning because they are low.  They want me to see a nutritionist, take extra vitamin D, up my protein, and come back in 6 months.  Somehow the lab messed up on my lab work and did not send all that they requested so I bet if they had it all I would have been in more trouble.

Although they were very supportive, I still felt like such a failure.  How did I work so hard, maintain for almost 3 years and then let it come down to this.  I managed to talk her out of the nutritionist.  I explained that I just joined this group, cut my calories to 1000-1400 a day, cutting carbs, journaling food, doing protein drinks, etc.  I don't think I am going to do any extra vitamins yet either.  I have not been taking vitamins for close to 2 years.  I just restarted about a month ago and don't have it in my routine yet, I keep forgetting to actually take them.  Now I do have the gym thing down and since I do that at work and have an exercise buddy I am not too worried.  I stresseed to her that I just started it all and have lost 4 lbs.  She agreed to let me go with it and we will re-evaluate when I go back in 6 months.  Hopefully I can stick with it and get myself in gear so that i can be a rockstar when I go back.

Working it!

So I was very excited about losing 3 lbs by the end of last week.  i was amazed at what a difference a few changes could make and the fact that my tool still worked!!!!  The we went traveling and I was not completely prepared.  I gained two lbs back. lesson learned.  As of this a.m. I can proudly say I lost those 2 lbs and 1 additional for a total of 4 lbs in a little over a week.  And with the vitamins and water along with healthier foods back in my life, I am physically feeling a lot better.  I am going to have to keep plugging along and see where this takes me.

Getting back on track

So I am trying.  I am now 3 months cigarette free and joined a gym.  Been working out 5 times a week for about 45 minutes each day.  So frustrated as I have been gaining weight and not losing any.  I figure a big part of it is my food intake and I really need to work on that.  Got my protein drinks back into my schedule, I have one each morning on my way to work.  Working on my suppliments but having a hard time getting that back into my routine.  Water is also not an easy one for me to add in.  Ugh.  I am trying to join the back on track message board for some support and get myself in a place to be held accountable.  Wish me luck.

Long time no update

So it has been over a year since I have been on.  Unfortunately I was not able to keep up with things on the Virginia board previously.  So many people had moved on and the board was dead with no support in it.  I did post today so I will see how it goes.

I am up about 30 lbs.  I did go in for my follow up in January.  Got major fused at for my weight gain and not taking vitamins.  I know I need to do better and that I will feel better if I do.  I have been working on trying to exercise more.  I have been riding my exercise bike 3 -4 times a week for 15 - 20 minutes each time for about a month now.  It isn't much but it is a start.  I do hope to get the weight off and know that I need to make the changes and stick with it.

Got to ride my new bike finally

So my hubby got me a new bicycle for Christmas and I have been patiently waiting for the weather to be decent enough for me to go out for a ride without risking hypothermia and I finally got a chance this weekend.  We have had some 40 - 50 degree days the last couple of days and yesterday we took advantage of it.  Hubby and I hopped on our bikes while the youngest got the dog on his lease and off we went for a bike ride/walk.  I am so looking forward to spring when I can do that all the time when I want to.  I do have to say though that I am not used to the riding and my butt was sore from that narrow little seat.  :)

A New Year & New Beginning

So 2010 has begun.  It is amazing how quickly time flies by.  My goal is to really start working my tool and get some stuff back in order.  i know it has been said before and it will probably be said again but I see no reason to give up on myself just because I have faltered.  I do plan to work on my eating, vitamins, fluids, exercise, smoking, and taking care of me (mentally & physically).  That includes making the effort to post more on the boards and on my blog.  My journey may help others and I want to give back.  I will have to wait & see how it all goes.

Since I was home sick last week with the stomach flu, I hope to take advantage of the 6 lbs weightloss I have.  Lol.  :)

Saying goodbye to 2009

Ah the year is almost over.  What a year it has been too.  I have completely gotten myself off track on a lot of factors.  The not smoking thing didn't last very long for me, an area I need to tackle again.  I have let myself get so far off track on my weight that I have gained way too much weight.  Another area to tackle.  I know these won't be easy but I have the tools and strength to succeed.  I did get a new bike for Christmas so I am hoping to make use of it, along with the puppy and walking him.  He needs the exercise too as he grows.  I know these are things I have tried to tackle before and have not been successful at but I will not give up on myself.  This holiday season has been difficult for me as I battled other stressors.  I am so hoping that the dedication back to myself will help in a lot of ways.  On that note, I am going to put some warm clothes on and take the dog for a walk.  Hope 2010 is great for all of us!!

Finally working on the smoking factor!

So decided over the weeknd to quit smoking.  I still have the Chantix from my last attempt so I will be going back on that in order to see if I can actually quit this time.   I really hope I can.  I am so tired of wasting all that money, smelling nasty, always coughing, clearing my throat, sniffling,  etc.  Wish me luck, I plan to start tomorrow.
