Alex got out of surgery after 5 1/2 hours. He is still in recovery as I spoke to his wife. The doctors thought he would be needing ICU for awhile after surgery, but it seems he won't. Yeah! Alex will probably be staying in the hospital 5-6 days. I will keep you updated. Thanks for all your prayers and support for Alex.

Alex is still in surgery. He has had several previous surgeries, so the doctors have to work around his adhesions. Surgery is estimated to last about 4 hours. They started about 9:30am today. I was able to talk to his sweet wife and she is being a trooper there in the waiting room. I will post an update when Alex is out of recovery.

Alexander..Just wanted to let you know that we're all thinking about you on your big day!!! Listen to the nice doctors and nurses...no running up and down the halls after surgery! :-) Best wishes and GOOD LUCK!.

Hi Alex! Wonderful talking to you in chat. I'm so excited for you surgery. I'm glad you told me you were listed under Irving, Texas - there is a ton of people on the TX page. I will be praying for you -- I know this is a really big surgery - you must have a good doctor. Thanks for all the info- and I'll be calling Janne! You are almost there!
