I got approved!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, I called UHC yesterday and they said that I was approved for VSG!!!!!!!!!!!! It still does not have its own CPT code.  They used the blanket code and the laproscopic code.  Dr. Hausmann just submitted a letter detaling and well they approved it.  I don't have a surgery date yet.  The insurance company said the tentative date was Jan 25th.  Don't know if that is the real date or not.  I am still waiting on a call from the doctor's office with the date and instructions.  So, after I eat the black eye peas and cabbage....it is liquids for me until surgery!

My only concern is that I have a 22 pound 7 month old and I don't know how long it will be before I can pick him up as usual.  But I will put all of that in God's hands and trust that it will all work out.  Afterall, if I could take care of him from a wheel-chair  for the first few months of his life, this should be a no-brainer!
