9 Days Post OP

Mar 26, 2009

Alrighty then, I'm now 9 days out into Band Land. I'm doing pretty good. I'm not in too much pain just more discomfort than anything else. I'm finding it very hard to get in all my liquids for the day, It says that i should be having between 48-64oz of liquid a day. I'm lucky if i get half that. I'm not a big liquid person. I love water but i like it ice ice cold, with the Victoria(My band)  in me now when i take a sip of water she freezes up and its hard to swallow. I know this will all pass, I'm still thrilled i have had this surgery, I have not had one doubt since i got it. I had an episode kind of like a stuck episode the other day, I must have drank my cream of potato soup and V8 too fast and felt wayyy overly full and had an insane pressure in my tummy, It was just gas in my tummy. I burped(which i didn't know i could do until this day) and i felt 10000 times better. But holy crap that was painful.

I have been putting a list of healthy food and meals that i want to have once i can start on solids in May. lol I guess its my way of wrapping my head around the fact that i cant eat right now. I love turkey bacon and eggs so i know that will probably be my Breakfast for the rest of my life lol and there is this powdered peanut butter that i just bought from Bellplantations.com. that will go great with mashed banana on a slice of weight watchers whole wheat toast lol. Trust me i have thoroughly thought this through. I just really hope ill be able to have white rice again. I hate potato's mashed, baked etc etc, they make me feel like crap and don't taste very good. All i ate before my WLS is chicken, shrimp and white rice. It will be good if i can still eat that but a 1/4 or less of my previous portion. I think that's what I'm missing the most is the chicken, shrimp and rice. LOL

Well any-who enough about food hahaha. I'm on my full liquid stage, I have to tell you it sucks. I'm looking forward to next week when i graduate to baby food LOL. I'm such a picky eater, my parents always said they have no idea how i reached the weight i weighed before WLS. I always knew i over ate, i never really ate unhealthy foods, i never ever went to fast food chains. I just ate too much at one sitting. So this was def the perfect surgery for me. Now i cant over eat and i will learn to know when i am full.

OK well I'm going to get back to my job lmao. TTYL
