I have been scanning people's profiles, and I have to say a lot of them are very inspirational.  I especially like reading about people's experiences through the WLS process, from beginning to end.

I am fairly convinced that I want the LapBand surgery because as I have read on several people's profiles, I didn't put all this weight on my body quickly and I don't expect it to come off that quickly either.  Plus I just think the surgery is safer and has more allowances for adjustment than RnY. My only concern with LapBand is that the equipment might leak, slip, or the port may flip. I don't want to come off of all this money paying for my share of the surgery and then find out that I will have to pay even more to have it removed or revised.  Still though, I would rather pay the extra money than lose my life through complications with RnY.

Now that I have my mind made up, what's the next step?  I don't want to go through this process too fast (I know that seems surprising to some, but I want to make sure I have the money saved up to pay my dedcutible + 20%).  Do hospitals bill for this? If so maybe I should go on ahead and do it already. Right now I am aiming to have my surgery in early March.
I don't want to start the ball rolling too late and then find out I have to do a 6 month diet ahead of time.  I think I should qualify without this because of my health issues.  I am in the process of selecting a Dr.  I have already been to 2 seminars with different doctors, but I feel I need someone closer to home.  Hopefully next month I will be able to find a Dr. and get things started.  In the meanwhile, I plan on dieting and exercising some of this weight off.  It boggles my mind how I have gained so much weight this summer!!  I refuse to let my size go higher than a 26, and I want to be back in a 24 or smaller no later than November 1st!

Please pray for me OH!
