Two minutes into the conversation, I felt my confidence growing with every word she said. She was amazing! First off, she made me feel like a valued human. Something that a lot of doctors don't know how to do. I was simply floored. She gave me all the information I needed and references to get what I couldn't remember. She talked about the here and now and my future without diabetes. She covered the risks of surgery in a way that was factual, not scary and assured me that while there is always a risk, that if I felt I was making a choice I was ready for, the rewards would be wonderful.
