Almost Done with Consults!!

Went to the Cardiologist yesterday and I am CLEARED for surgery!! My EKG was fabulous! The doc said, 'Why are you here?' and I laughed and said Dr. Snyder wants a Cardio consult. The cardio doc was awesome and we talked about philosophy and agreed that I am a good candidate for the band.THEN this a.m. I went to my PCP and had the necessary blood work done for Dr. Snyder, had a pregnancy test (!) NEGATIVE (YAY!) and need to get in with and OB/GYN for birth control/tubal ligation/Essure.
My NP also did verify my diagnosis of Diabetes; I knew that as I have been using the Byetta Pen and diet to control my sugars. SO! One more thing for the insurance company to look at when we go for approval.
AND my weight certainly is a HUGE factor in that.
My joints are really paining me today; it is overcast here and that contributes to my overall malaise.
I work tonight so I am gearing up for my overnight shift. I truly love what I do and that helps, too!
Psych consult Friday and then I wait for the appointment with Dr. Snyder on 8 July!! ExCITEMENT Abounds!!
