A couple of years ago, I wrote out a profile introduction that would perceive me as going through the process and steps of embarking on a life of weight loss. Unfortunately, due to multiple obstacles, a marriage and moving, I was unable to make such steps possible. However, I can finally say that life is finally beginning to align in accordance to the cosmos, as well as my insurance. No, but seriously, folks. It has been a difficultly tedious process of meeting doctors, getting information, working with healthcare companies, etc... all for the sake of getting relief, but I truly believe it will be worth it. My name is Alicia, I am 28 years old and I now reside in Maryland with a supportive husband and two spoiled pups. I currently weigh 389.3 lbs. and am one month away from embarking on a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy surgery. There is still a possibility that things may change last minute, i.e. the surgery type, but I will battle that bridge crossing when I get to it. All in all, I am very happy and so proud of myself for being able to fight through the hassle to make it here. I can't wait to blog about my journey and the ins and outs of my changing lifestyle. We all are in this together! I am so happy to be a part of such a strong community that can share in our experiences!
