Happy Friday the 13th everyone...Even though this day is supposed to be unlucky for most it has been the BEST for me.  Today was the day I had to visit good ole Dr. Quinlin (no pun intended on his age or anything).  I am down another 22.5 pounds since January so that puts me at 85 since the beginning and 65 since surgery!  Woooo Whoooooo!

Got the labs back - perfect across the board.  I feel good about that because it tells them and me that Im doing what Im supposed to be doing.  I also asked him about my stall in weight loss and he kindly told me to STOP worrying about my weight.  Its a common occurance in GBS patients and it will happen again and again.  I can tell that I have lost inches, I have lost MADD inches, but not one pound since February, and now that I have discussed it with my Dr. I dont even care.  I went from wearing a TIIIIIGHT size 30-32 to a nice fitting 18-20, Yeeeeah Girl!  He also said I can transition into a normal diet...no more phases, Thank you Jesus!

Things have been going pretty good for me if you cant tell by my attitude.  Im just very grateful and thankful to God for allowing me to have this surgery and for helping me to be successful at this new way of living.  I wish I had done this YEARS ago, but I let so many people talk me out of it.  Any obese person that I can encourage and/or educate about bariatric surgeries I take that opportunity.  You know when you fat all or most of your friends are fat...we in my world, that was the case... so now that I have lost alot of weight Im encouraging them to take back their lives one way or the other...either by lap band or by gastric bypass.  If they dont want to have surgery, I encourage them to join weight watchers of something...just be proactive in saving their lives...
