This doctor did nothing but waste my time. On the first visit, I told him I had previous hernia repair in my abdomen. He told me there was a chance I may not be able to have the surgery and wanted to see a CT scan. Ok, fair enough. I did mention to his staff that I did not want my time wasted. So if he felt based on the scan I could not have the surgery, to just tell me so I don't have to waste 35 dollars on another visit. They got back to me and told me he said he can do it. They sounded so optimistic as well. I go in for my second appointment and when he came in the room I could tell right away he did not sound very optimistic he could do the surgery. He claimed he could not really tell if he could or not based on the CT scan. So right away I felt mislead. Why did his staff make it sound like it was a probable thing to happen? So far this may be more his staff fault than his own giving me misinformation about the likelihood of surgery. However, he then decides to give me this physical exam to determine how high up my mesh was. It turns out it was too high up for him to probably be able to perform the surgery. And he told me it probably can't be done. I was crushed. Why did he not give me this physical exam on the first visit? My chances of surgery could have been determined after the first visit. There was no need to get my hopes up and have me waste money on a second visit. I know other people have had a positive experience with him. He is obviously very experienced and knows what he is doing. But in my experience, the process they put my through was terrible and a total waste of time and money. If you are like me where you had a hernia repair in your abdomen, I would strongly recommend not just another doctor, but another practice as well, so you don't get mislead like I was.

Dr. David Wernsing changed my life, there isn’t much more to say. He supported my decision knowing what procedure was right for me. I even went back to him for my lap. Gallbladder surgery several years after VSG. He is a big part of the reason I can practice medicine today and be the best doc I can be. Thank you so much.

I have known this man for 6 years. I have found him to be uncaring and narcissistic. I had surgery and was horribly sick and he never once listened to me. His staff said I had an eating disorder and needed help. Shortly after that I had emergency surgery for a perforated bowel and nearly died. A year later zi almost died again with a perforated ulcer and emergency surgery. He blamed me for it. Six years later I am still sick and puke all the time and he thinks I am a cry baby. I told him next time I will not call 911 and just prefer to die! He does not listen to his patients and he thinks very story is a happy story. I am here to say they are not all happy stories and I will never go back there or recommend him!

Dr. Schuricht was amazing! Every visit with him was pleasant and relaxed. The only issue was his scheduling staff I really had to stay on top of them to get my surgery date but once I did it was smooth sailing. Dr. Schuricht came to see me before surgery spoke to my husband as soon as surgery was over and then came to see me the next day. I had a small problem with back spasms after surgery which is apparently not common and the residents weren't helpful about it but the second Dr. Schuricht found out about it he order medicine to help relax the spasms and it's been smooth sailing ever since. I'm a week post op today and I feel good, sore but not hurting. I'm able to do a little more each day and I'm excited to start feeling my clothing get loose!!

Dr. Noel Williams changed my life. He offered me a surgery when a lot of people were not even having them yet. I lost over 150 lbs and have kept that weight off for over 10 years, thanks to Dr. Williams and his staff at the U of Penn. I am Philadelphia School Teacher and he was able to do my surgery in the summer with plenty of time for me to recover before returning to work. I am grateful everyday that he was able to help me with a problem I was suffering with since I was in the 8th grade. I now have 3 beautiful children and I am able and healthy to do all of the things I always wanted to do with them. Dr. William's office always takes the time to follow up and I honestly would recommend him to anyone considering weight loss surgery.

I had bypass surgery in July of 2010. At the time I weighed 450 pounds. I didn't walk into the office planning to do bypass. I was leaning more towards the band. after meeting with Dr. Dumon, his advice was that I would have better success with Bypass. Boy was he right!
I am almost three years out and over 200 pounds down. I just got married and now I am looking forward to starting a family. Dr. Dumon changed my life forever. He also saved my life. I had some severe complications and his quick action saved me. I will forever be indebted to Dr. Dumon. He is a celebrity in my house.

I had surgery with Dr. Williams in June 2005 and never took the opportunity to thank him for his expertise. My surgical experience and post op went without a hitch and recovery was effortless. I would like to lose another 15 or 20 pounds but that's on me. Because I live in Delaware, my primary physician has monitored my health which includes reduced cholesterol and sugar, superb blood pressure, less wear and tear on my joints, and excellent health. Thank you to Dr. Williams, his staff, and the Hospital of the University of PA.
