how many calories?

i usually get between 600-700 calories per day. i must admit though i measure all my food. i only allow myself so much per meal. when i just eat til i'm full i always over eat because it seems like it takes me a few minutes longer to really feel full. i can't seem to get the eating real slow down. i've always been a fast eater. do you track your calories and exercise on fitday? that's worked so wonderfully for me. Hi Stacy, I'm eating about 860 calories per day according to fitday.com. I still track things 5 out of 7 days per week to keep me honest with myself. I don't measure things out before my meal, but do know what it is that I have planned for the meal. 47% of my day is protein, 23% is carb and 30% are fats. Hope all is going well with you, Pat -111

Stacy, my daily calories run anywhere between 500-800 calories and protein between 60-90 grams (whi*****ludes 1 drink or bar a day). I also try to keep my carbs below 20 (doesn't always happen) but for the most part they have been under 35. Dana

I'm late responding! I was gone to Canton for the weekend. What fun I had! It was my first time to go, and something I could NEVER have done at 300 pounds. The walking woulld have killed me. I guess I am at the high end of the calorie count! I get between 1100 & 1200 per day. About 300 of that is from protein drinks I make. I get around 120 protein a day and between 30 & 35 carbs. My surgeon is ok with where I'm at, and said by around my one year anniversary he would expect me to be at 1500 and stay there pretty much the rest of my life. But my goal weight is 150-160. If I was shorter and had a goal weight lower, say 120 I would need to end up at lower calories. Hugs, Susan 298/179/150-160

It sounds like I am a lot different than everyone else. The dieticians I see have told me to make sure I get no LESS than 100 carbs a day to keep me out of ketosis. I am suppossed to eat at least 1000 calories but they would like me to be at 1100. I ussually end up between 850 and 1000. My fat grams are around 20 or 30. My protein is 65- 70 and my fluid is about 90 oz. It looks like everyone is pretty different, but it still seems to be working for all of us!!! Very cool.
