I agree I also had my surgery on the 3rd of April, and they dont fully inform you of the Gas pains. They are very painful and walking does help them. This is day 5 pos op and still having alot of gas......awhhhhhh....
Topic: How important is it to diet before the op ?
Hi Everyone , I am new to this forum and I love it 
, I am due to get a gastric bypass on the 27th of April and I just cant seem to get my head around the dieting before the op, as I just want to eat everything I see just in case its my last time lol.
I am from Ireland and will be getting the op done in England, can the doc decide not to operate if I dont loose any weight before hand ??,

Good luck.
I'm three and a half weeks into my liquid diet...feel soooooo much better and surgery is one week away today.... little nervous...keep saying to myself...look at me on this liquid diet...I'm killing it..i don't need surgery...then I remember...diets don't last...surgery does!
So.....
all aboard.....keep your arms and legs inside the ride at all times.......
enjoy your ride.....
I'm praying lots for peace and comfort. It feels right though.

Hi Everyone! i am day two of my two weeks diet b4 my big day..... I just cant drink 1pint of skimmed milk per day... this upsets my system! i am managing to have my fat free yogurts and diet soup... I just and taking each day as it comes... as not having any real food feels slightly uncomfortable, also it appears i am feeling more cold with less energy... i will stay focus! God help me. x

I have my LapBand tomorrow (yikes!) and I have heard that about the gas. I am going back to work on Day 6, so I hope it's at least tolerable by then! I have a private office...I may have to keep my door shut for a while!
