I had my surgery (Lap Band) on April 3rd.....I was told the gas would be painful but no on said it would be horrific.  It's 5 days out and the incision part of my surgery is healing nicely, however, the gas aspect is still giving me a fit.  The good thing is once you start walking around it gets better but before then it's terrible.

My liquid diet starts tomorrow...I hope I make it.  Man the worst part is my youngest daughter's birthday is next Monday, my mother in law is making dinner for her this Saturday and lucky me, I get to have sf pudding instead of birthday cake and slimfast or broth for dinner instead of grilled chicken salad!  Oh joy, oh happy day!!!  I'm trying to think positive, but that day and next Monday are gonna bite big time.  Oh well, I gotta do what I gotta do.  Pray for me people this is gonna be the longest 7 days of my life!! By next Tuesday, I'll be begging for anethsia so I can get some real rest.Lol

Hey, I know you are only 2 days from your surgery, but you may want to go online and order some of the Unjury protein powder.  It would be on your doorstep by the time you get out of the hospital.  It's supposed to be the best tolerated protein powder around for WLS patients.  Probably a tad pricier than other stuff, but if it gets us through the first week or so after surgery, it's worth it!  And hey, save some room on the loser bench for me!  My surgery is only 6 days behind yours!
