Topic: RE: MTL Wednesday
You are right about it being a new day!!!! I'm glad to see some activity back here on the board. I sense a renewed commitment, does anyone else sense that as well? I feel like we will all be successful. I got my exercise in...I worked up a sweat today, I increased my pace on the elliptical, same resistance level. But I only burned about 20 extra calories, I don't get it. So easy to put the calories on but hard as heck to take them off. Today was an arm day as well, so I did some strength training on those bat wings, my chest and back. I've also noticed my back changing, I'm not sure what they are called, but I noticed that my back fat, the rolls just under the bra line, are nearly non existent!!!!!!! I feel energized and great. So I'm riding the motivation and taking whatever benefits I can get from exercise. I'm still worried about the scale not moving, but I also like the changes I see. My fitness center is having a raffle to keep people exercising through the holidays. For Christmas, they are giving away 12 prizes, you just have to exercise 30 minutes to get a raffle ticket. I'm not sure what they are giving for thanksgiving, but again a 30 minute workout gains you a raffle ticket. I'm excited and plan to exercise so I can be entered in each raffle, they are giving away great prizes like ipods and mp3 players. I had another aha moment this morning when I sat down at my desk, my stomach no longer bulges out like it did before. I'm not having my protein drink today, I forgot to put them in the fridge last night. So when I get home tonight, in the fridge they go. I have a question for everyone, what do you do to stop the grazing? Today, Breakfast Turkey Sausage 2 Waffle Sticks Lunch Turkey Burger Greens Dinner Chicken Salad Snacks Apple Chex Mix Teah

They do give you the option to have replies to your own posts sent to your mailbox, but this also gives you this option: "Selecting an Email Digest will enable the system to send you a summary of all activity on the messageboard either on a daily or weekly basis. If you would rather not receive these summaries, just select "none". Selecting "Rich Text" as your Digest Format will enable the system to format your Daily/Weekly Digests in a manner similar to a web page for ease of navigation. This will result in somewhat larger-sized emails. Selecting "Plain Text" will result in smaller emails at the expense of formatting." I clicked on 'daily' and 'rich text' and clicked 'save' last week, but so far nothing (and I KNOW there's been activity on this board!! N.

I believe the subscription is only for replies to your own posts, not to any and all posts on the forum. Traci

Click on Message Board < (in the list on the left). Then on top of the board you'll see three rectangles: "Post" "Subscribe" and "Recent".

Hey Karen - I dropped out of the loop too - had a lot of stuff going on in my life. I'm back and I'm raring to go - gonna lose at least 15 lbs. and start my exercising again. I look back and I realize I felt better, looked better and slept better when I was eating right and exercising, so I'm trying to keep myself motivated. Right now my goal is 165 - I think I would be very happy to get there and stay there. Let's keep on trying - together! Hugs, Nancy

Topic: RE: Happy Sunday July Babies!!!
Hi Denise! So nice to see you here - I was afraid this board was going to peter out and die, but I should have known better!! I'm getting back on the wagon too - too much carby, comfort-food, stress eating and I found myself ballooning up to 180. Now I have to be good and I have to be strong - my July baby friends help keep me strong and on track, so I'll be around. Woo-hoo on the dating!! I haven't had a date in about 15 years either...still don't know if I'm ready.... Hugs, Nancy
