Oh dear, you have been going through so much! I started to answer this morning and got busy at work and couldn't finish. Have you been evaluated neurologically or orthopedically? When you blacked out, did you fall or hit anything that could have injured your head or neck? That could also account for symptoms. Have you tried a chiropractor? They can be very helpful with headaches caused by pinched nerves and kinks in the spine and neck. Just a thought, since you can trace many of your symptoms to that single event. I hope you feel better soon. I'll keep the positive thoughts coming. Irene

There is so much that I hear about this type of surgery...The most thing that bother me the most is to sucessfully lose the weight and be stuck with the ugly night mare of sagging skin...I have done my research and I found that I a lot of protein will need to be consume to help maintain muscle. Overall, maybe it is an excuse to back out because I am scared. Should I be concern..I look at alot of the before and after pics.. they look pretty good.. HELP ME EASE MY WORRYING MIND

My consult today went pretty well. The doc thinks my fibroid isn't very large. I have an ultrasound on Monday to determine its exact size and placement. Then on Wednesday (Aug 2), I go in for a hysteroscopic myomectomy. At 4 weeks post-op, I have a follow-up to make sure all is well, and then can start trying for that baby about 2 months later. Depending on how deep the fibroid runs, they might not be able to get it all out at once (because doing so can ruin fertility), so my baby-making plans would have to be on hold an additional month. While I think the whole timeline kind of sucks, the surgery will be very simple and I'm going to be just fine. At any rate, this gives me about 3 months (maybe more if it takes a long time to finally get pregnant once we can try) to lose more weight. At least now I know (FINALLY) what's going to happen to my body, and I think mentally I'm going to be okay now. With that said, here's my plan for today (most of it already eaten): B: sloppy joe (some meat, 1 bread) L: Jack-in-the-Box...chicken fajita, 1 egg roll D: chicken, couscous, carrots S: I don't know Exercise: walked 20 minutes this morning, might lift some weights and do some treadmill work later BTW: The meal I had at Jack's is actually relatively healthy. The pita is high protein, low calorie...and the egg roll was better than fries (about 150 cals) Well, guess I'm going to get my daughter started on the toothpick bridge project I've been promising her all summer! Hello there!! Busy weekend and not the greatest food choices. Yesterday was my oldest son's 18th birthday. I cannot believe I actually have an adult child! Whew!! Surprised him yesterday by taking him to the Dodger v. Cardinals game. We were surprised at how many Cards fan there are here in sunny CA!!! We had fun but it was HOT!!! 110 in the stadium!! And I shared a Dodger dog with my honey! Least I shared. LOL So that wasn't a good choice but it was good. Back to business today though. I so wish I was one of those people who didn't have to think about food choices so much, its so exhausting! B: Protein Bar L: Not sure, see if I have a lean cuisine or something D: Roast Turkey Breat S: Banana or Nectarine Have a great day!!!

Hi Bunny!! Wow, it's so nice to hear from you!! Sorry to hear about the hysterectomy - I know it's no fun. I had one in my mid-40's due to years of suffering with endometriosis - can't say I miss it at all!! Hope you're soon feeling better. Congratulations on maintaining your weight loss - I think keeping up with the exercise is key. I've slacked off a bit and I can really feel it - time to get back to it!! Please stay in touch!! Hugs, Nancy

Hello to all! A few may remember me! It's been quite awhile since i posted. I am recovering from surgery (unexpected hysterectomy). No one told me in the contract about parts wearing out. Thought I had a life long guarantee on everything. Seems my bladder wanted to go south due to having large babies, menopause, weight loss, etc. so since we were repairing and the rest was showing signs of wear & tear--my dr. decided to take it all. Fine with me. This was a piece of cake (pain wise) compared to the gastric but still uncomfortable. I just have to take it easy for 6 weeks. A great way to start a school year but it will be ok. I have a great staff. Well, good news was my 2 year anniversary on Sat. the 22nd. Best thing I ever did! So blessed! Anyway--I have maintained all year, walking 3 miles most days, active and able to do anything I want! When I get a little better I'm going for a facial, have my makeup redone, new hair cut, new outfit, and ready to raise a little h.... Hope all of you are doing well. I decided to postpone the tummy tuck this summer to give my body a rest from surgery---oops!! I messed that up! Next summer maybe!! I'll try to be better about dropping in more often. School was pretty challenging last year so this year is going to be outstanding! Take care to all. Cheers, Bunny still -130 lbs.
