Morning everyone
Can you believe they already have Christmas stuff out?!!
Supposedly they had a "black Friday" sale at Walmart yesterday! They had it on the news - I couldn't believe it. I have already started my Christmas shopping, but still......
Today I have to get out and buy my girls some winter coats. Theirs from last year are a bit small. I also need to clean and do laundry - but I have spent the week in this house and I need to get out - so I am.
Don't forget to turn your clocks back 1 hour tonight before you go to bed.
How are you all doing? Staying on track? Staying out of the Halloween candy?

Haven't gotten the protein powder yet. It got routed incorrectly at the UPS hub. Should be here this evening. I've not done too well today, but at least I stayed out of the candy. Did have some popcorn and a bagel. I'll work on it tomorrow.
My daughter has lost almost 70 lbs. since her surgery in August. She is looking great. Now weighs less than when she got pregnant with her first child.

Morning everyone!
The rash is better today.
I've got a bit of a migraine, not sure why.
I have my grandbaby today (she's napping at the moment); and I really want to go to Walmart and possibly other stores to shop; but it's cold here and with my headache, not sure I feel up to it today. I need to get winter coats for my two girls. I may wait and go tomorrow.
Doing well otherwise. Have a great day everyone.

Hi everyone,
I'm just checking in to say hi and see how everyone is doing.
Traci - how is that rash?
Monna - did you get your rice protein? If so, how does it taste?
Denise - where are you? How are you doing?
Michelle - I know you're busy, but check in hon - we miss you!
I've had a very stressful few days and it's amazing how that triggers my desire to snack. I resisted for the most part - I soothed myself with whole grain pretzels and Lite & Fit yogurt instead of potato chips and ice cream; it wasn't an all-out binge, so at least I don't feel guilty. This morning when I weighed, I didn't gain and didn't lose, so I'm OK about it.
Hope everyone has a happy and healthy Friday!
Hugs,
Nancy

Nancy,
You have been such a rock of this board, pre-op and post-op. You are such an inspiration.
I am starting to get back on track today. I really had a fine time yesterday with all the T or T candy. I grazed on it all day so never really dumped, but I am sluggish today. The sluggishness might be due to my cold (I am home because I was so dizzy when I got up, I could hardly make it to the bathroom). But it really made me aware of how easy it would be to go back to my old habits. I really want to get 10-15 lbs off before I have my plastic surgery in January. My rice protein powder should arrive today. Might not be until tomorrow, but I have some yucky tasting soy protein (no whey) that I can use until it gets here. And I can do lots of SF jello.
Thanks for your wonderful encouragement.

Topic: If I Can Do It, So Can You!!
Hey there all of my July babies!
I just wanted to pop in and let you all know that I started to get back on track on 10/15. I did the 5DPT, and have been following days 3 & 4 in some fashion since. Oh, I've had my slips, but they haven't been major ones and more importantly, they haven't lead me to give up and go on a binge. I'm eating protein first, (trying) to get in all my water and I make sure to exercise at least 30 minutes a day.
Anyway, having made those changes, as of this morning I have lost 10 of the 18 lbs. that I have set as my goal. I can't believe it. I really thought I was never going to be able to control my eating again, but here I am in control and really, feeling great physically. I am sleeping better and have so much more energy since I cut out the sugar and white carbs. Even my mood seems better - I guess doing what I know I should be doing as opposed to carrying around a load of guilt certainly helps!
So, really - if you're thinking of getting back on track, there's no time like the present. The first day or so was a bit tough, but after that it becomes routine, and when the scale starts going in a downward motion instead of an upward motion, that sure is motivating!!!
This is meant as encouragement to all who feel they have lost control. You haven't. You can endure one day of struggle, and it will open the door to getting on the right track. If I can do it, so can you!!!
Hugs to all,
Nancy

Hi all,
Traci - I'm glad the rash is at least bearable. Hope it leaves you alone soon!!
Denise - I'm really happy to hear that you're getting back on track and I hope you'll join our daily check-in's!! I think it's a great idea to go back to the beginning, to what worked for you and use that as a guideline. I find it really helpful to plan my day on fitday. I usually tweak it a little during the day, but all in all it gives me a good idea of where I'm at.
I'm still doing OK. I'm finding that I seem to have gotten over that hump where I constantly obsess about food, and I find cravings much easier to resist. Hallelujah!!
My ankle is still sore from tap dancing the other night - still a little swollen. I didn't exercise yesterday, but I think I'll try doing a WATP tape (I'm working from home today) and see how it goes. I don't like to go too long without exercising - it's way too easy to get out of the habit.
I hope everyone's having a great day!!
Hugs,
Nancy

Morning everyone
I think I'm actually going to be home along today! YAY! I have a lot of things to do, so I'm grateful for a day alone to get them done.
My itchy rash is still here; but I'm coping. I am not taking the Benedryl during the day, but am at night so I can sleep. I guess if it's still here tomorrow, I'll call the doc and have him give me the prednisone.
How is everyone else doing today?
