Topic: RE: anyone here from jeff anymore?
Nope, never hear from Jeff. I check in here all the time, but I agree, there's very little activity. I'm doing well. I'm trying to work the WW program, not attending meetings, but using the point system. I've lost about 9 lbs. in the past six weeks, so I'm feeling great! I also started walking every day. I've worked myself up to about an hour, twice a day. The inches are really coming off (except that darn saggy belly, legs, upper arms and droopy boobs!) I'm hoping to get to where I can have some plastics done - I'm ready to go, just need the $$$. I'm weighing in around 175 right now. I'd like to get down another 10, but without getting rid of some of this excess skin, I don't know if that will happen. Anyway, I have a goal and I feel happy and healthy - so that's the main thing. My numbers are good as far as lab stuff goes. I know my tool still works. It's weird....I can eat a whole bag of popcorn and not get sick, but a couple of bites of a Boca Burger on a light English Muffin (2 point lunch!) and I'm sick as a dog after one half of the burger (in fact, that's what's happening right now). Any kind of dense meat or canned tuna or bread and I'm sick. I'm trying to find the fine line between feeling full and getting sick. Guess it's less than half! Hope everyone is doing well....I love ya all!!! Pamela, you are so motivating!!! Keep up the good work!! Remember where we were three years ago??? Preparing for surgery and a new life. We've all been blessed. Hugs, Nancy

I wonder if people will drop by now that it's coming upon 3 years. Every once in a blue moon, I come across someone on a different forum that used to post here. It's funny...I'm the most regular "regular" here, and even I don't drop by all that often. I guess the only reason I still even bother is because I haven't made it to goal yet (and may never see that elusive 150) and I know a few others are in the same boat. Cheers! Pamela

Great job Pam! I'm very proud of you. I've been doing the Abs Diet for Women and my first week lost 4 pounds. I'm pleased and the plan is really easy to follow, which for me is good. Yay, we are all doing well, I love hearing that. Hang in there girls, we can do this!! Michelle

Topic: RE: "Biggest Loser" Bounce Back
Thanks for sharing this Denise. It's something I know I have to keep always in the front of my mind. If I am not vigilant at all times, I will be back up to nearly 300 lbs. The surgery was a great tool to initially help me lose a great deal of weight at a rapid pace, but now I have to diet and exercise if I want to maintain it. My body is constantly struggling to get back up to a heavier weight and even watching what I eat and exercising every day I am only maintaining. At this point, I don't even know how to lose weight anymore. Anyway, this is a great article and if nothing else, we realize that we are not alone - not by a long shot. Hugs, Nancy

Way to go Pam!! You know a pound a week isn't bad at all! I think research shows that when you lose weight at that pace you're much more apt to keep it off. I have to say, I'd love to have been there cheering you on when you strapped on those skates and and took a whirl!!! Skating is great exercise!!! Hugs, and keep up the good work!! Nancy

Okay, so I lied. It's an update you CAN miss, I was just trying to grab your attention. Aren't I clever? I've been doing Weigh****chers for 8 weeks, and I've lost a smidge over 8lbs. I'm certainly not the world's fastest loser, but I've been consistent. Now, for the absolutely amazing, totally exciting, never-thought-I'd-ever-do-it-again-in-my-life news flash. I WENT ROLLER SKATING! Yes, I actually put on a pair of ugly brown skates with mismatched laces...and then got on the hardwood floor. It took me a little bit to get the hang of it, as it's been 18 years the last time I laced up, but I finally sort of got it. Although far from graceful, I moved at a decent pace and never once fell. Came close a couple of times, but never met the ground. Just one more thing that reminds me of how great this surgery is...even if I'm still a size 20. Cheers! Pamela

Hi Deeno, I'm glad to hear that this procedure seems to be helping. I just popped in for a minute to see what's going on, but will check out the revisions forum when I have a little more time. Please continue to let us know how this is working out for you. Hugs, Nancy
