New title. I don't know if anyone will post regularly, or even if I will. But I'm trying to take control of my life and shift the focus away from this whole infertility mess that I'm in.
So far, so good. It's only been 2 days, and one of those days isn't even over yet. I'm making progress, though.
This week, my goal is to be under 1800 calories. It's hard getting back on track, and I'm afraid if I cut the calories too low, I will end up being hungry and overeating.
I intend to walk at least three times this week. I hope to gradually increase my walking time and eventually add weights back in. I've been using the whole "I'm trying to have a baby" thing as an excuse not to exercise, but in reality, that's really one of the biggest mistakes I can make.
Mentally, I know I need to be back on my anti-depressant, so I need to get in touch with the doctor. Working with special needs students is quite stressful, and I haven't been handling it well. I've also had a tough time focusing on anything in my life that wasn't baby related.
I need my life back, need my health back.
So here I am.

Hi Stacy,
Good to see you back, but sorry you're not feeling well and the job went away. Things have a way of working out, so do what you can to keep yourself as healthy as possible. My best friend's hubby is going through the same treatment and he's really feeling miserable too. He's got nine more shots to go, then a couple of weeks of pills before he's done.
Hang in there Stacey, and hope to see you back soon!
Hugs,
Nancy

Hi Stacy,
Don't know if you'll remember me...I was on this message board all the time until about 6 months ago when life just got busy!
Now I'm back and hoping to get back in touch with the July 04 babies.
So sorry to hear you're having health problems. I remember you were starting to talk about your health issues before I stopped visiting the message board. So sorry you are feeling bad...but you still look great in your photos! I can't imagine living with constant pain...how much longer will you need to have treatments?
I just had an incisional hernia repair in October...from my gastric bypass incision. It wasn't too bad...but I'm glad to have it over with.
Otherwise, I'm pretty much maintaining my weight loss. I got down to 135 lbs. after the first year...then slowly gained 5 lbs. I've maintained 140 for over a year now, and I'm comfortable there.
Take care of yourself, Stacy. I remember you always had a great attitude. Don't let that attitude slip...think positive...you can get through this!

Oh Pam, I'm so sorry to hear about your struggles. Hang in there and don't give up!
As for me, well I'm engaged, woohoo so life is awesome right now from that stand point. From a eating stand point well I'm struggling. It seems for me one day, I'm not hungry then the next, its like I'm always hungry. It's very frustrating. And of course with the holidays and everyone brings all that stuff into the office that for a food addict like me, is sometimes just too tempting. I am resolving right now to get a hold of myself in the new year. I resolve to get on a regular exercise plan and stick with it. I'm great at starting one, just not following through. That's GOT to change. I also resolve to just try to plan ahead more. My problem I think is mostly lack of planning ahead, so then my food options aren't as good as they could be. I also resolve to go back to journaling what I eat. So here's to us, we've had many struggles, but we have the ability to have even more success if we just stick together and encourage one another! So here's to us! We can do it!! We've come this far.......we need to cross the finish line!!
Happy New Year all my wonderful July friends!!!
Michelle
