Topic: RE: How Much Have You Lost
Hi
I started at 262.5 and a size 26-28 shoe size 7 1/2 Wide.
I am now at 141.5 and a size 6-8 shoe size 6 1/2 regular
I still have like 5 or 10 lbs. to lose to get to goal but if i never lost another pound i would be happy.
I can't believe that this has happened to me, i used to have dreams about waking up and being thin, not what i was and i used to be so depressed when i would wake up and still be big.
but now when i wake up i AM thin!!
I am so happy!!
I asked my husband if he could imagine 7 months ago that i would look this way now and he said he loved me both ways but i know that our lives have improved so much from this surgery both mentally and physically.
I tell the people in my support groups that have just gone through the surgery and are having a hard time that it gets better everyday just hang in there and i promise it will get better and i am living proof of this statement!!
so congrats to everyone who was brave enough to have this surgery. it has been ups and downs but was so worth it in the end!!

total lost 97 pounds
I am happy if I never loose another ounce (as long as i maintain at least where I am with no gain)
would be ecstatic to loose another 20 though
Thank God for WLS...
I am now a 'normal' size person and so much happier.

Topic: RE: HELP GALLBADDER PROBLEMS
My surgeon said that gallbladder problems were so common after weight loss surgery that he routinely removed it during the surgery if it had not already been done. So this must be very VERY common. Too bad more surgeons don't do the same.

Topic: RE: All liquid? Why not learn to eat balanced?
For anyone who is thinking the all liquid will speed up your weight loss...
I've lost 125 lbs and I eat food AND drink protein shakes. So it can be done without the all liquid days.
Topic: RE: HELP GALLBADDER PROBLEMS
Hello Carolyn,
I am 7 months post op and developed stones in my gallbladder sometime after my surgery. At first it began as little twinges of pain on my right side below my rib cage then one afternoon I had this pain that was so terrible that it knocked the wind out of me and lasted about 30 minutes. I tried everything to make it stop, laying down, strecthing, bending over, you name it. I was crying and had to crawl to the bathroom to throw up because I could not walk. I called my surgeon and had an appointment with him. They did an ultrasound and found stones and now I am scheduled for surgery to remove it on July 12th. I wish you the best of luck and if you are having gallbladder problems, my advice woould be to just go ahead and get it removed and be done with it.

Hi all
i'm also starting to get very sharp pain on my right side.
I went to my doc and she said i probably pulled something but I'm scared it's something more serious. what are your symptoms?
Topic: RE: Problems with BM'S
Try colace. It's an over the counter stool softener. It is very mild, but one will get you going within 12 to 48 hours, but no pain, gas, or diarrhea. I used it myself in the begining when I had trouble. I started out taking MOM, but that stuff is way too strong for me! Our systems are jsut differnt now and I wouldn't seat it too much. I went 7 days before I acted on it. Now I go pretty regularly.
Hope this helps, Kristen
