i had my open rny on 11/4/03 and so far am only down 66lbs
anyone else slow like me? i know i shouldnt compare or complain, but well, sometimes i cant help it
i started at 262 btw and am 5'6"

Yes how true ...I have slowed down a lot on the weight loss but i am still loosing inches.so thats a good thing. I am soo close to my goal as well.

Congrats! You are so close to goal! I'm not even sure what my goal is. I'm not even sure I'd know if I made it to goal, cause my brain still tells me I'm 300! Crazy thing!

Hello hope that everyone is doing great. I just had to say that I am 28 pounds from goal! I thought that I had more than that to loose. I don't realize that I am getting smaller all the time. I do notice that it is taking longer and longer to loose a pound now hope that I am not the only one that finds this to be the truth. Keep up the good work all you LOOSERS!!! Stacy A 250/183/????

I am only approaching a yr postop in Aug, but I have a PS consult for my eyes. I just can't stand the bags! I think my arms will soon be ready, I work out 4-5 x week, so they are getting in shape. I will also ask how long to wait for the rest, but not sure if I will use the same surgeon as he is the famous local face guy. JG

I have now lost 90 pounds and am 15 from goal. I started at 220 and am down to 130. I am five feet tall and am realizing that I may actually have a small frame.

Well, let's talk about what you're doing and maybe we can trouble shoot. Tell me what you eat in a day, how much water you get in, do you exercise? Are you drinking with meals? Are you waiting 30-90 minutes after you eat to drink? THere are so many things that could be causing this, or you could just be a slow loser, which is supposed to be a good thing...of course not to you and not now, but in the long run I've heard that those who lose slowest maintain their wt loss. That alone makes it worth it! Hang in there! Hopefully we can find that it's something simple and things will get back on track. Let me know....

I actually found myself looking for diet pills at Rite Aid the other day!! What's up with that???? (of course they were carb blockers!) I didn't buy any,but I did consider it. That's so sad. I'm so addicted to CRAP food that I am willing to take a PILL to try and counteract it. I am SO looking for counseling...maybe a little overeaters anonymous.

Hey I'm Game on the 21st. I had lap rny on 11/3/03. I have really slowed down the last couple of months. Would like to meet my next goal of being under 200 lbs before I go to my doc next Tuesday. I have discovered something that has helped me this past week have only been losing about 1 pound a week or every 10 days. I have been eating watermelon for lunch and again for supper and I lost 3 pounds since Saturday. I know I don't drink enough water, I drink but not enough, and I know I don't get in enough protein. I had my labs for my 6 month check up today. Iknow I know I'm a month overdue but we are so busy, haven't had time to take off and make the 3 hour drive to the surgeon's office! So anybody want to give it a shot on June 21st and see how we do? Let me know!
