I also had surgery on Nov. 24th, I started out at 244 and I am now down to 160. My doctor's goal for me is 112, I am only 5'2. the scale has been moving soooooooo slowly the last 3 weeks, but my clothing sizes keep going down!

Doc says good, I am discouraged. Down 124lbs from 314 at 6 month check up. Have 55 lbs to my normal bmi.

DOING GREAT! Down 102 lbs and 17 from goal. Anything after that is just icing on the sugar free cake!

OK! I am 1 day behind you (11/11/03), down 102 and 17 from goal (5'7" currently 192).
I'd personally up the water intake to 80 oz (or more)
And just give this a shot (some people, especially when working out) need more carbs. Aim for 80-100 carbs a day.
Give your body 2 weeks to adjust to the intake of carbs. You should see a loss then.
It works for me!

Okay here goes. I am at 155 I am 5'3" from 266.
Doc says goal is 160 shoot for 140 not to go below 135
MY GOAL 135
I have stopped!!!
I need help getting down the next 20 lbs.
I work out 3-6 days a week
I drink 64 oz of H2O
I get in between 60-90 grams of protein
and take in between 15-40 carbs
what is going on.
Any help is welcome

My first major plateau lasted that long as well - and boy did I get depressed. What I did was give the tiny tummy a break. I went for a day or so and just had cream of wheat and liquids. Seemed to jog the plateau and I upped my protein grams. I am still losing slowly though, which makes me crazy.
BUT - at least I am losing *something*

I'm doing it to cleanse my system...so if you haven't eaten yet, DON'T. Just down a gallon of water and see what happens.
