I'm sitting in a 12 now (which is totally cool). I'm aiming for size 10 at this point...but I think its going to mean still being overweight. What are your thoughts on when I should consider myself at goal??????????????
Topic: RE: Gallstones anyone?
My surgeon took my gallbladder out at the time of my DS, saying that most people develop problems with it after weight-loss surgery, even if they never had problems before. He also took out my appendix.

Topic: RE: Stuck???
I feel that I am stuck as well. I was doing so good in the beginning. I'm a little over six months out (I had my surgery 11/28/03) and am down 85 pounds. I was weighing 330 and am now weighing 245. I've gone from a size 28 to an 18/20. My energy level is down. I stay tired a lot. I just had a B12 shot last week. You would think that my level would be higher. But after a full day of work, all I want to do is come home and rest. I have no energy! (Any suggestions???) It also seems that I am losing from the top down. My face, my chest, some of my arms, upper part of abs. I need to lose in my stomach & thighs. Will it ever come????

After hearing all your supportive replies, I have come to the decision that this is just a normal thing that happens.
I do have to say that I think all of you are great
. I don't know where I would be without this website and having all of you for support

Yes ! I was having trouble with my gallbladder and had to have it removed. I did have the ultrasound before surgery and it was negititve.

Topic: RE: 6 months out...and ate a whole....
I posted a few days ago that I felt I was eating too much.. and here is a copy of what was sent to me.. (I saved to to read it oer and over again)
"Cynthia, Each person is different, but most people change their weight loss after the first 100 pounds. It does slows down. It also changes at 6 months out. Your first 6 months is when you will lose the most weight, after that the weight lose will slow down. Now you need to be more aware of what you eat and add more exercise. You will continue to lose but slower. 8 Pounds a month is still very good. You have not slowed down too much. As for the sleeping, are you under any stress? That can steal sleep - Are you going through a depression? Many post surgery patients do go through depressions. Depression can cause loss of sleep also. Good luck.
