What were your symptoms on the twisted bowel & hernia? Things are acting strange for me. Just want some inside info before contacting doc. Thanks!

Topic: RE: Gallstones anyone?
I had gallstones 2 months post op. They were giving me a lot of trouble. I couldn't get in touch with bypass doctor so I went through my PCP. I went to the ER the night of Jan 28th (2 months post op exactly). They took my gallbladder out Jan 30th. Surgeon said that the gallbladder should have came out when I had the bypass! My gallstones were in the opening duct of my gallbladder. Where are yours?

OK, Dawn, I just ran your numbers: The "ideal" weight for someone who is 5'0", the number that would give you a BMI of 25, is 128 lbs. My surgeon uses a BMI of 25 because after years of obesity our bones are heavier than average and the number that gives a BMI of 20-23 is actually going to be too low for a realistic goal. So, using that number, you started out at 220, with 92 excess pounds. You have lost 86 of them, which is 93.4% of your excess weight, which is WAY better than average. And you got there in only a little over 6 months! Your results have been fantastic and I am sure a size 9 looks good on you. If I were in your shoes, I would go ahead and start buying a new wardrobe. Some days I can eat what seems like a truck load of food and others I canbarely get in three bites. I notice that if I go to long without eating and eat to fast thats when I tend to eat mor than I wanted to. Melissa

I've been bouncing back and fourth between 209 and 207 for about 2 weeks, so I know what you mean. People tell me I look great and they say I look like I weigh much less than what I do. When I tell them I need to loose 50 more pounds, they say "From where?" I told my wife, I thought I was stuck and she said, "no, you're doing great!" So, that's what I'm going to tell you. You're doing great. We just gotta keep on doing the right stuff and all the rest of the excess weight will come off. Cecil 338/208

www.unjury.com Tastes great! I mix 1 scoop of chocolate with 1/2 scoop of vanilla most of the time. And with a variety of sugar free syrups, I can have different flavored shakes all the time.
