I thought it was just me. I hadn't lost any until last week then started to loose a pound a day. Am finally at 219. I thought I was stuck forever and thats it. I hope I keep up with the good loosing rate now.

FIVE POUNDS! That's great!!! five pounds of fat is like 20 sticks of butter. Don't be discouraged. Any loss is good. I wouldn't worry unless you had gained 5 pounds. Keep up the good work. Cecil 338/217

My loss has been slow too! I have lost a total of 63 pounds since November 4th 2003. Very slow! I have been at a plateau for about 3 weeks now where I have lost nothing. Even with an increase in my exercise & protein. I do not get in all of my water every day. Sometimes I can't even finish a 16 oz bottle of water. Before surgery I never had trouble getting in my water, but now I just can't seem to do it. I have also noticed an increase in the amount of food I can eat & I seem to get hungry a little more often than I used to. sigh, I know it has to slow down sooner or later, but I was hoping it would be later..... Good luck to you! Priscilla 198/135/130 -63lbs

Topic: RE: Exercise Advice, How much are you doing?
Hello again everyone, Thanks so much for your advice I am going to do like the Nike commercial and "Just do it" I know my body needs me to exercise. In the past when I dieted before surgery I lost better with exercise. I guess that is the way my body works. Thanks Karen, your right this is my time, my widow of oppertunity and I am almost six months out and need to use it while I can. So I have to crack down and do what I have to do to kick in the weight loss and take care of myself and stop talking about it and procrastinating. It's hard to break old behavior even after you have had surgery. No more excuses of being tired or not enough time. Good Luck to everyone in their continued success. Darlene

Topic: Behind on losing
Hi everyone, I've been reading alot of post and getting alot of good information. But I'm feeling really disappointed in myself cause I'm not losing the weight like you all are, I think it may have to do with my eating habit, sometimes I only eat once or twice a day and I dont eat alot just what I should, I know I'm not getting in my 64oz of water daily and more than likely I'm not getting in my protein, I really havent given it much thought that this is all that wrong but I think I just dont know what the benefits of these things can do for me, I am also only walking maybe twice a week for 20-30 minutes, so I'm sure this is a problem but please tell me how the protein works and why its important and the water how does that affect things and my vitamins why are they important? I need some reenforcement. I have lost a total of 65lbs and thats all. Dont get me wrong I'm happy for the loss but I know I'm not doing something right things have got to improve. Any Information would greatly be appreciated. thank you.
