I know you are all sick of hearing this, but I belive I really hit my first plateau. I have gone three weeks at the same weight without even losing an inch. I have been measuring. I hope my body isn't done??? The problen is that I am also dizzy all the time and my hubby has been taking my blood pressure and it is low. Last night it was 90 over 60. I have increased my protein, exercise and even my iron and fluid intake, but it seems to get worse and worse. I am not sure what to do. ((((HUGS)))) Dawn

I seem to always be stuck! I will be at a plateau for 2-3 weeks, then I will drop 5-8 pounds in a week or so. Then I am back on the plateau again. It is very frustrating. I wish the weight loss would be more consistent. To be consistently losing every week would be so much nicer! But we can't always tell our bodies what to do. Any weight loss is a good weight loss! So far I am down 58 pounds, my surgery was on November 4th 2003. I am actually only 20 pounds from my goal! Priscilla

11/17/03 here to. Must be a great day. Down 90 lbs. Half way there, but can't wait for the century club. Has anyone else started to slow down at the scale. I quess a slow down is better then a plateau. What's everyone up to on the exersize front? Any ideas on how to add an additional work out in It's cold here in NYC can't wait to walk the city at lunchtime, if it would only warm up a bit.

Well 5 months ago today I had OPEN RNY. I started at 268, and I am down to 190. I would have liked to have been down 90 lbs by now, but instead I am down 78 lbs, which I will take! I tried on a pair of shorts that I wore before the surgery and I almost started to cry, but then started laughing. I just could not belive that I squeezed into those shorts just 5 months ago. I have found that in my losing, I had lost 30 lbs the first month, and then nothing or close to nothing, for another month. Then dropped 20 lbs , then for like 7 weeks, nothing or very little weight and then I have droped 15, and now I am holding again. I am still losing inches, so I know it's my bodies way of catching up. I have lost 8 inches in my chest, 8.25 inches in my waist and 9 inches in my hips since I had my surgery. My upper half of my body is not looking too bad (with the exception of my fat, and disgusting arms) , but my lower half really needs to catch up. As far as negatives, I know I am starting to eat more. I mean I almost have to, or I am starving. It makes me nervous...but I try to be cautious. I do have bad days, where I make very bad choices, but on a whole, I am doing pretty good. I am so thankful to God that I had this surgery, I still pray I don't fail, but I am loving life again! My relationship with my husband is 50 times better then before my surgery and it was great even back then! Anyway, I wanted to thank everyone for their support, and congratulate all of you on your success. We have ALL done wonderful, no matter where we are in the weight loss! Keep up the great work everyone!
