Topic: RE: Need some encouragement
I wish I could give you some encouragement, but I can so relate. I do the samething each day and have not lost anything in almost 2 months, so be careful!!!!!!!!! I have no will power and think of food most of the day. I would love to not be able to eat all of the junk foods or sweets, but I was one of the lucky (not) ones who doesn't get sick from sugars. Hope all gets better for you. Cathy

I had my surgery on 11/5/03 and have lost about 50 LBS, I have not lost a pound since Feb. 5th when I was last at the Doc. I am very frustrated with myself but am hopeful that things will change soon, for you and me.

Topic: RE: Anyone else stuck???
I was stuck at -99 lbs for about a week. It seemed like forever. Then all of a sudden I lost 6 lbs in a week. I look back and even though I was stuck for a while, I had lost over 10 lbs in a month. That's a pound every 3 days, and that ain't bad. Hang in there, it'll come off. Cecil

not sure if this works or not. I read about it on the South Beach Diet Plan. They recommend changing what foods we eat. sounds to simple to be true; but guess it may work. I'm still dropping; not as fast as I used to. Has anyone else tried changing foods and seen results? I guess upping the protein would be another way to do it also. mark g.

That happened to me. Just got off of it about a two weeks ago, it lasted about a month and a half, but when it broke I dropped 10 lbs in a matter of three days. Try uping your protein, thats what I did.

Topic: RE: Tummy Tucks?
My doctor wants to see me in August. He says that he may do a tt then. I am only 31 pounds from gaol. He told me to take pictures of any rashes, etc. I talked to my insurance company, and they told me to take pictures and document all rashes. Hopefully by the end of the year, I will have a flat tum-tum. Lorna Shumate

Hi, as far as it goes in my neck of the woods, we have to wait 18 to 24 months after surgery and need to prove that the excess skin needs to be removed for medical (ie rashes etc) reasons. i am going to have it done as well when the time comes. hope this helps ya stacy
