Topic: RE: Anyone else stuck???
I can honestly say the weightloss has slowed tremendously! One week I wont loose anything then the next a couple of pounds, stay there for a bit, then loose a couple more. Its frustrating to say the least but when I feel down about it I think about where I was this time last year. I guess a slow loss is better than no loss (thats what I keep tellin myself..). Congrats on your weightloss.

yes, there are times; when I think I eat to much. I like everyone else here; when I eat chicken or turkey or beef; I can eat about 3 oz. any more than that I
. I am doing better with the water; I still can not gulp down a glass; but sip; sip; sip; and I do fine. I have been craving salt and vinegar big time. so much lunch salad has been about 4 cucumber slices with salt and balsamic vinegar.

4 months today and canlbs't move the scale. I have lost 55 pounds to date. Think I am loosing inches. Jeans fit better. Upped my protein to 110+ grams a day and nothing. Oh and get 66+ oz. of water. Have 45lbs. to go. BMI is 30.3 almost out of the MO. Everyone congratulations on your weight loss. Very happy with what I have lost. Have a GREAT DAY.

I''m too much in shock over this to think about bragging. It's just blowing me away. I've lost 5 lbs the past 7 days. I just that the Lord for rescuing me from MO. Our sacrifices (surgery, giving up food) are nothing compared to what Jesus went through for our healing. Read Isaiah 53: 3-5.
Congratulations on your success. You're doing great. That 100 lb weight loss is just days away.

I too can eat more now, but not in the morning. I was always a breakfast eater but pouchie doesn't like it any more. Have to be up 2-3 hrs before eating. I can drink though. Food is a necessity now not something I really enjoy anymore. I do ok with meat, but for some strange reason now I'm allergic to shrimp. Start itching all over about 30 minutes after eating it. Darn it!!!!I'm down 66 lbs. Had surgery 11-20
Topic: RE: Okay, I'm going there - Alcohol!
Well I too was wondering how it will affect us. My 40th birthday was last week and I was planning to have a drink to celebrate. The plans fell through and ended up getting rescheduled for this weekend. I still may have a drink but I was thinking about a little Vodka with some Crystal Light Grapefruit or maybe the Orange Pineapple. It will make me feel like I am having something fun and no sugar in the Crystal Light...Just a thought...I don't plan to make a habit of it as I wasn't a drinker much pre-op but on special occasions...

I too have a hard time with Pastas, or Breads, or Potatoes. Have you tried the Budding lunch meats. I eat them a lot on salads, with cheese, etc. Anthor thing I just found and love is Kashi Go Lean Crunch cereal. It has 9 grams of protein per 1 cup serving, so I eat that in the morning like popcorn. My lastest craving has been scallops so I bought a bunch when the grocer had them on sale. I also eat string cheese, sunflower seeds, corned beef hash, I eat chili but pick out the large chunks of meat, A really easy meat to digest is one of those Turkey Loafs, I am not sure of the nutritional valu, but it has always settled good with me. I am also on a Beet and radishs kick right now. I don't know how you are with sugars but for about a months or so I was eating a banana and peanut butter for breakfast. My dietician also said that I should eat Gogurt. It is really pretty good. I put them in the freezer and eat them like a push up.
I have been on a salad kick lately, but I cannot handle a lot of lettuce, so I make a salad with a little lettuce, then add meat and cheese, and almonds, and hard boiled eggs, things that I know are high in protein. I even was eating Sushi for a couple of days. It was the first time I tried it and liked it so I ate that for a few days.
Its one of those things you have to try it to see how you will react. My doctor and dietician have told me the only thing to say away from is high amounts of sugar, cause that may cause dumping, and soda pop.
