The last thing you should feel is shame! Don't do that to yourself. It took a lifetime to develop poor eating habits - a few hours on an operating table and a few cuts with a scalpel is not going to change that. You've given yourself a wonderful tool to help you lose weight - dwell on the positives. The bad habits will only go away if there are good ones to replace them with - you have some great snacks going on there - tuna, vegetable soup, cashews, eggs - those are great things to reach for when you feel hungry. I have issues as well from time to time with snacking - ever since I discovered sugar was not a problem for me, I want sweets at night - I'm trying very hard to stay away from them - it will always be a challenge - I've/We've just got to accept that. My suggestion to you is to go back to JOURNALLING. If you write down everything that you're eating, doing, saying, feeling whether it's good or bad, you'll be much more able to find patterns in your life that you'd like to change. Well that's my advice for the day - keep in touch with how you're doing. Take Care !!! Sheri Byrne

I know what you mean. I actually like to go to the store now. I have only lost 84.4 pounds, I am down to a size 20. I know that is not the most apealing size or best apealing thing to look at but, I do not have to go out in sweats and a overstretched t-shirt that has been worn over and over because that is all I have because where I live you are luck to find a 26/28 or larger on a rack. I know can purchase clothes at Wal-Mart or other stores and feel good. I no longer doge people I know, I walk by and say hello. I have had no major complications. Just fear of the stretching syndrome. I think all newly post ops have that fear. I am glad you posted. Allot of people neglect this board and use the main message board. Take care.

Okay we all should be officially 3 months post op by know. I must admitt I am not perfect. I eat about 4 meals a day, drink a shake if at all poss. I try to keep milk for protein. I know it has fat but I get skim milk/fat free. I drink 24 oz of it a day. I drink maybe 30-40 ounces of decaf ice tea. My meals are not so great. I eat tuna on crackers??? Girl Scout cookies have come in and I grab at least one or two a night. Count it as a meal. Bad habit to start. I eat scrambled eggs, veggie pizza and cashews. I eat veggie soup. My main thing is fluids I find it so easy to down them. I fear I have stretched my stomach. I have no feeling of full yet. I never eat over the two medicine cups. I just feel down. My weight loss is good but I am falling back in to old poor eating habits. Any suggestions. Anyone else following this track. I need some input from others as to what you are eating.. Please I am begging you.

CONGRATS again!! Stacy

I can't beleive it. I can wear a size 14. I went shopping last week end to get a couple pair of pants for spring. I bought a 14 so when spring gets here they might fit. Guess what? They fit!!!! I almost fainted. So I started digging in my "totes" of clothes that I have saved over the years, and I have so many things that I can wear again, and some that are already too big. My step daughter was so excited that she went out yesterday and bought me a size 12 outfit. Had to share my good news. Hope you all are doing well!!!! Lorna Shumate 242/178/135?

Congratulations Heather. I sure know how you feel. I wanted to jump for joy when I finally reached the 50lb mark. I was so obssessed with reading about others losing phenominal amounts of weight that I thought I was doing something wrong and was upset about it. Now The more I read from others on the November Board it sounds to me like 50lbs is an average amount of weight to lose at 3-4 months and I feel much better about it. Enjoy your accompishments.
