Topic: RE: Not a failure, but frustrated!!
Hi
I can relate to what everyone has said. I have only lost 50% of my weight and had my surgery on 11/10/03. I am down 90 lbs and need to lose another 60 to be at 75%. I am so frustrated and dissapointed and don't know where to begin. Maybe making small goals at a time is a good idea. I keep beating myself up because I feel like a failure and can't seem to look at the positive side of the surgery. My diabetes and blood pressure are under control. But I am falling back into old habits and punishing myself by eating the wrong things and knowing it is wrong. I came to this board for encouragement and found it because now I know I am not alone.
Thanks,
Darlene

The problem is that I have not been counting anything but my protien. I just went on to fit day.com and figured it out.
Calories: 1100
Fat : 35
Carbs : 58
Protein : 95
I guess I really need to up my calories. I could not possibly eat anymore so I wil have to find a high calorie shake that I can tolerate.

At least you live in California. You can never be too thin there!!! LOL!!! I was born and raised in Lake Elsinore California. Thin is the in thing there. I remember people telling me I needed to lose weight when I only weighed 120 pounds. Go figure!!!
I think I am going to try a high calorie shake to get in some extra calories. I am going on fitday.com tommorow, just to see exactly how many calories I am getting in. Then I can figure out how many more I need.

It's nice to find someone in my same boat.
My goal was 150 and I am now at 135 with no signs of the weight loss stopping although it has slowed down to 1-2 lbs a month.
I only wanted to get down to a size 8 and I am now a 2/4, which looks great for the moment, but at almost 5'7" I am concerned about how I will begin to look if I lose more.
I have been eating like a cow (a post-op cow that is) in an attempt to make it stop. This includes adding carbs and a small amount of fat and sugar but since I dump this has been a bit tricky.
Let me know if anything works for you.
